Even if he ends his career like that he bowed like a champion...He can be remembered by boxing fans going out on his shield if he choses to not come back...Its better to end his career like that instead of another clinch borefest. Thoughts?
It's classic end, old lion young lion cliche. Not everybody gets to go out like Floyd. You could tell Wlad technique was more refined, the way he stretched out his right hand. AJ at times looked amateurish but he beat klitschko cos he was more active and stronger - although wlad seemed to have more one punch power.
Fair play to wlad. He may have lost the fight but overall he won last nite. After a career thats been filled with criticsm...he finally laid to rest everything aimed at him over the years. This fight will go down as vitalis one with lewis imo. Wasnt controversial the right man won...but it,ll be that fight to look back on that shows how good he really was bearing in mind thats him at 41. Wasnt his fault over the years really...the opponents just couldnt test him enough. Fury just outboxed him...it happens.
I agree Wlad technique was more refined but for the power...Not so sure...That Uppercut Joshua hit him hit would have decapitated a elephant!
Never been that huge of a Wlad fan, but I gained more respect for him last night than I ever had before. Fought his heart out, came back from the brink to take charge and almost win it, and just gave everything that he had to give and finished on his feet. Great performance
