What's sad about Wilder is that he started boxing late and thus never had the chance to develop his skills. His athleticism is just awesome, as far physicality goes, he's probably the most gifted heavyweight boxer of all time. Power, speed, stamina, height, length...

Though I guess Joshua also started late but for some reason he seems to be a much cleaner boxer, perhaps Wilder's trainers aren't very good or something.

If Wilder had proper skills though, what a scary boxer he'd be.

We won't know how his power is until he starts fighting rated fighters. Remember Sam Peter and how much punching power he supposedly had? Well the KO's stopped when he started fighting rated fighters. Knocking over handpicked opposition is easy. Let's see what happens when he starts fighting legit contenders.

No one in the HW division - and I mean no one - does being knocked out as well as Price. Only Khan rivals him at WW in this regard. Not a great advert for British chins really...

Not a very objective analysis at all.

Why would Joshua get that tired vs Wilder? Joshua gassed because he punched his way out of Klitschko's clinches in that 5th round. I've always wondered why no fighter had ever tried that before and now I see why, it took an enormous amount of energy. Joshua wouldn't be in that situation with another fighter bar Klitschko because they don't clinch the way he does.

Also does Wilder have the defence and footwork of Klitschko? Wlad looked very light on his toes last night and was controlling the distance well. Wilder doesn't have that kind of toolset. Wilder recently has got into the mindset of throwing very little looking for an equaliser, I had him 5-1 down vs Washington going into the stoppage.

Wilder to be competitive with Joshua, Fury or Klitschko would have to show us a new, as of yet unseen skill set that he hasn't shown previously.

The ability to acquire skills and utilise them is an athletic trait which Wilder doesn't possess. So no, he's nowhere near the most athletic boxer ever. Pathetic statement.

So your retort to my "pathetic statement" is your own very subjective interpretation of what athleticism means. You'd think for such a pathetic statement you'd have an easier and more convincing way to shut me down.

Joshua was gassed for a round and some change vs Whyte. He looked extremely and surprisingly stiff last night. There is no dispute Wilder is more agile then Joshua, at least noe to me. I'm telling you if he shows that body language for a round vs Wilder, windmills or not, Wilder wont let him off the hook. Say what you will about Deontay when he has someone hurt he goes for the kill.

If Joshua gets inside though he will win. I like them both I'm OK with it. I also disagree with the unseen skill set. While he hasn't shown it often for whatever reason, vs Stiverne proved he had it in him. He was fighting off his jab and moving great. Using that incredible reach. If he uses that style vs AJ I think he has a great shot vs AJ.

The Washington fight I thought he was a bit nervous to let his surgically repaired arm and hand go. Once he did it was curtains though.

i don't need to construct a convincing argument to counter such a ludicrous comment. You only need to watch his fights to know his athleticism doesn't extend to anything involving full body coordination.

Wasn't he outboxed by a fur coat wearing football hooligan?

Or it could be that he just overcommits and isn't disciplined, maybe his weak opposition is partly the cause of that. In terms of raw physical gifts he's up there, how many fighters have you seen with his combination of speed, power, size?
