Let's discuss some myths that were popular at least till yesterday's night.

    1) AJ is slow

He's really fast for a guy of that size. Fast hands, fast combos. Don't know why Scott Gilfoid still calls him 'slow'

    2) AJ has glass chin

Well, he hasn't. He can take a punch for sure. He also doesn't crumble when he's badly hurt, unlike Frank Bruno

    3) AJ has poor stamina

If his stamina was really poor as many boxing fans say, he'd be spent and stopped in the mid rounds. He came back in 11 round in a great fight. You can't do it if you have poor stamina.

    4) AJ is still a novice

He's not a novice, he's more experienced fighter than most current HWs after yesterday's fight, even someone with 38-0 record. AJ is at his absolute peak physically, but he has room to improve technically. As for 19 fights, well if he had 10-15 more fights early against Ty Cobb or Marcus Rhode, would he be more 'experienced'? I think answer is obvious.

    5) Joshua is too muscular and that's bad for him

But he is still very effective with that weight. Maybe 243-245 would be better for him though? Ike Ibeabuchi was 4 inches shorter and maybe 5 lbs lighter and that muscles didn't hurt him.

PS: According to Scott Gilfoid, AJ is slow, robotic, with no real power, slow hands, glass chin, and 3-round stamina.

Relative to an elite fighter, he 100% has poor stamina.

The bit of head movement Joshua used actually impressed me. He evaded a ton of Klitschko's shots in the 7th and 8th while still obviously hurt and completely gassed out.

Ignorant, he was far more hurt than just tired. When hurt that bad you don't come back like he did without elite level stamina. Who have you seen with those capabilities ????

See, I didn't think he was as much hurt as he was tired. And I think it's pretty obvious to see. But we all see things different... Wladimir against Peter was another case of being dead exhausted much more than being hurt. And Wladimir made a similar comeback in that one.

he is like a young Foreman, maybe more skilled, but not invulnerable. There is hope for other guys when facing him. I would say some of his fear factor is diminished after the mid round pounding Wlad gave him. Fear factor was what made Molina crumble like an old suit in his previous to last fight.

He looked lost in the 5th, almost waited to be knocked out, but to regain his composure says a lot. he seems like the kind of guy that learns quickly as well so will probably adjust. I am not his biggest fan, I was rooting for Wlad but the fact is AJ showed he could deal with adversity against one of the biggest threats out there. he never been in with some like Wlad.

I think some of his faults in this fight could be psychological as well, he obviously wasnt as spend as we thought, otherwise he would never have got that second wind. it was like he was very unsure of himself but realised he could actually survive, but he was lucky Wlad didnt quite have the reflexes to land those finishing punches. the man was learning on the fly against an all timer, maybe not one at his best but Wlad was showing AJ a few tricks in there, more than anything he dealt with in the past.

I dont know he will face anyone much tougher than Wlad to be honest, I think too much is being made of the liveliness of the heavyweights. He could very well beat the so called threats and reign for a while.

interesting point, he certainly doesn't have that Foreman invincibility tag at this point. he been down and beat up a bit so that has been dented. but then again maybe he doesn't need that tag.

    1. Yes Aj is slow, considering the 41 years old easy Fury victim wladimir k. could land several jab against him because his reflex and feet are very slow and sometimes useless.
    2. Aj was down by a 41 years old slow Klitschko who couldn't knock Jennings or Fury down last times.
3.True Aj had big stamina problem against a 41 years old shot fighter .He was lucky because his old
    opponent couldn't finish him.
    4. wladimir was his only one decent opponent and Joshua was inexperienced considering it was his
    first long fight.
    5. Joshua big muscle mass didn't prove great one punch ko power but his combination looks decent.

Joshuas pretty fast for a big guy. The feets quite slow tho. His staminas actually very very impressive for a man of his size. The problems start when he gets tagged. The tank goes...and stays gone for a while. His short term physical recoverys not good. Its one of the worst i ve seen for a while. Its his achilles heel. His mental recoverys very impressive tho. The thing that bruno really struggled with. Joshuas brain seems to be able to take the trauma of a good shot but his short term physical recovery is actually poor. All his physical attributes go. His power. His speed and his stamina and stays gone for too long. Whats keeping him in these fights is his incredible fitness. His size and his mental faculties not shutting down. His long term recoverys very good if he gets long enough to recover he becomes just as dangerous as the first round. Actually impressive.

He needs to learn to get control of fights with the jab. Otherwise thats gonna end up in a knockout sooner rather than later. I m not sure his footworks ever gonna be good enough to get control of a fight with his jab tho. The difference with him and foremann was foremanns jab was a ramrod. Joshua pushes his out. Reminds me of the williams sisters at tennis...not as skilled as others but his power strength etc is so good it might not even matter. What i d like to know is how much of that fight last nite does joshua remember? I ve got a feeling not a lot. But unsure cause he got up from that knockdown very very well. Would have probably finished a lot of fighters.

Joshua is better than Bruno ever was, way more mobile and aggressive. I think his stamina is better as well. Bruno late in a fight had nowt left and got tagged. The McCall fight he basically hugged McCall solid for the last rounds, no way was he capable of a late offensive like Joshua mounted on WK, he'd have never got out of that 6th round anyway, not a chance.

Relative to "WHAT" elite fighter though? Certainly not another heavyweight. Wilder is the leanest HW in the biz and he was gassing in his last fight until he mustard up enough to KO Washington.

Lol is this a Joshua fanboy excuse thread for why he went life and death with a 41 year old that hasn't been in the ring for 1.5 years?

Yeah a lot of stuff that said on this board is non sense. Of course Joshua doesn't have poor stamina. The guy is THE BEST conditioned fighter the sport has ever seen. How could he have poor stamina?
Exactly. The Joshua and Bruno comparisons are just dumb at this point. Joshua just 19 fights into his career is a far greater fighter than Bruno ever was.

Bruno was more like a rich man's David Price than he is Anthony Joshua.
