i was impressed with anthony as a player in todays hw scene, but i really dont see greatness in him. i think he could give anyone a run for their money, but everything i see is adequate, up to the task, but not special or superior... to be fair, i kinda felt the same way about wlad.

 

Are you going into every single Joshua thread on a damage limitation mission after your SHW nightmare won last night in a fashion that couldn't have answered more questions about him than if it were scripted?

Get over it, Joshua is the business and he will be on top for a while to come, get used to him and show some respect for the new unified World Heavyweight Champion and current king of the sport.

AJ does have poor stamina, he came back because he spent the previous four or five rounds throwing nada.

 

When he came at the beginning of the round against Wlad trying to knock him out with barrage, he was spent so badly that you could say he was there for the taking, almost like he was badly hurt, but he wasn't, he just spent all his energy in a couple of combinations.

 

Agree bandeedoo. His explosiveness i d say is superior but everything else is adequate except maybe his size. Hes a basic boxer. I d say adequate sums it up. Its not bad but its not great. But his achilles heel will come back to haunt him. Its a weakness. He doesnt have many...but its a big one. A lot of other things you can work on...one like that is hard to make up for. Hes only ever really been hit twice...whyte and klitchko...and both times...physically hes shut down. Tbf his size/explosiveness is so good...he might actually get away with it. But i see him getting knocked out soon. The blueprints there. Get him hurt. And dont let him off the hook. Pour it on. Klitchko wasnt fresh enough...whyte actually injured himself going in for the kill...it wont take the biggest puncher in the world either. Just someone thats physically up to the task. And knows what their doing. He,ll blow people that arent a strong unit away.

My moneys actually on whyte. Surprising choice. I dont think joshua likes what he brings. The pressure. Not sure if hes got the fire power to finish it tho. Both klitchko and whyte fought on the front foot...both caused him big problems.

Atm in time i put joshua favourite against anyone. That explosiveness gives him a good chance against anyone. But at the same time that achilles heel gives all these fighters on the list a great chance also. Hes vulnerable.

 

At heavyweight you cant physically shut down for 2 or 3 rounds. Hes actually got a bit lucky in that klitchko was an older fighter so couldnt get the job done and whyte injured his shoulder going for the kill. But next time hes hurt he,ll be made to pay for it. Last nite showed hes too dangerous to let off the hook. If you hurt him you ve got to unload. Even if it puts you at risk of burning out. Thats your oppertunity. Dont take it and you ll end up paying for it.

 

I prefer The Furious One, Joshua I don't really root for, last night I was for Wlad.
Just giving AJ the respect he has earned, you should give it a try rather than stewing in bitterness.

 

I am not enjoying reading these posts where "Wlad was too old at 41" and suchlike trying to diminish this legendary win for Joshua. He gassed - but he recovered. He got dropped hard - then got back up and re-grouped. Klitschko looked great and put in an incredible effort himself and if it was any other man inside that ring with him last night Wlad would have emerged victorious. Anthony Joshua cemented his status as the man in the top division in emphatic style and deserves to be celebrated.

 

I tell it like it is. I'm one of the only ones on here who doesn't operate from a bias of some sort.

 

Please tell me you don't actually believe you are the sole human unaffected by any sense of bias?
