I saw Klitschko recover after the first knockdown before the end of that same round.

Wlad was never in a fight like that either. He must've been a novice.

He looked hurt to me via Tyson uppercut. He just made the count (some say it was a very slow count and he didn't make it and should have lost). Maybe that bell don't ring he gets finished in the 8th. Buster beats the **** out of him in round 9 though. And continues in the next round with a nasty uppercut of his own contributing to Tysons demise.

I'm so surprised no AJ hating conspiracy theorist has not named Aaron Pryor, Panama Lewis and black bottles :risas3:

Exactly Busta. No stupid A side B side, everything went so smooth and this fight was perfect. Both promoters deserve props

He punched the canvas as soon as he dropped down and waited on the refs count. He then rose on steady legs, I think he could've gotten up much earlier if he had to. Seriously hurt was Tyson when he was scrambling on the canvas looking for his mouthpiece.

Exactly. Douglas wasn't hurt. He got caught because he was admiring the tremendous beating he was putting on Tyson. It was a flash knock down.

Both AJ and Wlad showed a lot of heart in this fight. They both wanted to win very badly.

I remember being impressed when he found the energy against Dillain Whyte, seems to be a mind over matter thing, that said he did some good things like take a round off ect so that by round ten he was ready to press the action.
You watch he will go from strength to strength after this as he now knows he can go the distance and that he can blow anyone outta there, sometimes for all the hate a boxer gets one has to say that up until now he's been too good for everyone and I don't see that stopping soon as he can improve.

    The knockdown recovery wasn't special

but he looked gassed out like crazy at the end of the 5th. Pretty good PEDs...finished off strong.

Very impressive for him to get the victory after how gassed he was. Wladimir was either too gassed himself or blew the fight tactically during the 7th-9th... The way Wladimir was going to win was unfolding before our eyes. And then he blew it. Credit to Joshua. Big win for him at the moment, clear king of the division.

The thing is i tho i think wlad thought he had it under control. He was outboxing joshua at times. Thought he wont risk going all out for the stoppage and its cost him in the end. Lesson for future opponents if you hurt joshua...you ve got to throw the kitchen sink at him. The blue print to beat hims there tho. He physically shuts down for too long when hurt. Mentally hes fine but physically he shuts down...everything becomes laboured.

Great recovery in the end...his fitness levels for a big man are actually impressive. The stamina could go 15 at a good pace as long as he doesnt take anything heavy. Its what allows him to get that second wind. The stamina only becomes a problem when hes tagged. They wont be able to fix that. Just get hit less easier said than done at the top level. They need to turn him into a klitchko clone or thats gonna end in a knockout sooner rather than later.

Tyson laced up the gloves only 7 years before he cleaned out the HW division at the age of 20-21, and destroyed an ATG Larry Holmes.

Foreman laced up the gloves only 8 years before he destroyed Frazier and Norton.

They were novices, too, in that regard. They also had very little experience vs top or near-top guys at the time

What's more, Marciano destroyed Joe Louis only 8 years after he laced up the gloves for the 1st time in his life.

8-9 years is more than enough time to learn everything you need if you are gifted and talented.

20 years isn't enough if you are mediocre

Khan - after getting hit by one of the hardest shots ever by Maidana in Round 10. God only knows how that **** stayed on his feet.
