he had a punchers chance. and a good chanceof picking up permanent injury too, perhaps you wish that one him with your thoughts. a 41 year old man has no business being in the ring with a prime, and you know it
Lets not attempt to tarnish a great fight just because your guy didn't get the win. I don't recall any dirty tactics from either men.
I didn't think Joshua was particularly dirty; dropped his mouth guard to buy some seconds (not the worst offence in the sport), other than that there was the one low blow the ref picked up on. A fairly clean fight compared to a lot of fights. Judges score cards was a bit more suspect than joshua's was tactics.
When AJ does it then it's "dirty" but when Hopkins and the likes of Ward do it they are dipping in to the "toolbox" and are genius because they found a way to survive and win. Things that make me go Hmmmm.
Wlad hit Joshua harder than he got hit! Of course he belonged in there He had him out on his feet. Joshua won but something's wrong with his game.
Yep! I saw that little mouthpiece strategy and wasn't surprised he tried it. The shots thrown on the break weren't a surprise either.
Not sure how so many confused Aj gassing for when he was hurt from mid 5th to the end of the 6th. And wlads unleashed hell on him those 2 rounds. I have NO idea how Aj was able to take all those clean fight enders, took round 7 completely off to recoup and turn it all around from 8th thru 10th ending it in brutal, great and historical fashion in the 11th. Both fought great, YES Wlad fought great, that's one of his top 3 all time performances, would be his greatest if he could had landed a couple more clean left hooks he was winging in there in round 6. What a fight, nothing but respect for both warriors
Cagey yes dirty no, you do what you gotta do, as i was told in my recruit training "Time is a luxury you rarely have in battle" so if a boxer who needs it can engineer some time he should do so. Boxing history is littered with such incidents.
I still can't believe Wlad didn't get him out of there, I honestly thought Joshua was going to be put to sleep when he got up from that knockdown. Wlad had the best opportunity in the world to finish him and he couldn't do it, he should enjoy his retirement because he won't win a rematch.
