    Sergey Kuzmin is a 6'3 27 year old Heavyweight with a 2-0 1 KO's record. Born in Kolchugino, Vladimir Oblast, Russia and fighting out of Saint Petersburg, Russia. Sergey a two time Russian Champion started Boxing at 11 under his father, then he moved on to train under Sergey Romanov of the Dynamo Sports Society, he won his first Championship at 14 and throughout his teens and early 20's he scored various Gold Silver and Bronze medals along the way. As an amateur he had a series of back and forth matches with another top Russian amateur Magomed Omarov, he won some, he lost some. One of he main claims to fame is his shocking upset win over Italian amateur legend Roberto Cammerelle and he was beaten by Magomedrasul Medzhidov, so he's tangled with some of the best and he can hang with the best. He's recently finally turned pro and that's potentially a very good thing for us fans because he has a fairly exciting aggressive style for a Heavyweight, he's somewhat of a pressure fighter, he stalks his opponents with his high guard up, with fairly good head movement looking to land bombs.     Man of his word :lol: He has a little bit of everything, power, chin, cutting of The ring, defence. He's decent at any department, but not Great at any. In the division that Stiverne-Arreola fought for a title, he'll definetly get somewhere.

    Kuzmin is a bear like person. He's big, strong, and durable. He can punch, and take a punch. Speed and stamina are not his forte. Skills are good, not great.

    If he looses 15 pounds, he could give himself a better chance.

    He can loose some weight but it might be bad for his power and durabiliry IMO.

    He's also no looker, so he's going to be really hard to market if he does end up making an impact, no one wants to watch a balding flabby guy with man tits flopping around the ring.

    It worked for Butterbean. If I was his manager, I'd tell him to shave his head and keep him very active in the gym. This way he would lose weight. But you're right. Marketing will be an issue.

    :lol:Good idea, but I didn't get the appeal of Butterbean either. But my casual fan cousin loved him, so it might work with some people, its worth a shot.

    Top 5 HW prospect easily.... I like the fact he's faced respectable journeymen from the get go... His physique is worrying, but I think he's serious about boxing. Let's hope he loses the gut over time, and isn't packing glass... Other than that I see no reason why he isn't a future top 10 HW.

    I was going to make a thread pertaining to the lack of EE HW up & comers currently after such a big wave of them over the past 10 + years:

    Wlad
    Vitali
    Povetkin
    Maskaev
    Pulev
    Ibragimov
    Chagaev
    Zolkin
    Valuev
    Golota

    Etc..

    Seems they filtered through to lower divisions like LHW & CW but HW is lacking a serious presence again. Like all sport though its cyclical & i am sure there will be some coming through especially with the likes of Loma, Wlad & Sergey inspiring them! Kuzmin looks good but hes kayoing stiffs..

    Joe Joyce is not a stiff! come on! He's a top 2 super heavyweiight in the amateurs and will probably be hyped liked crazy in the pros, and look what Kuzmin did to him!

    Most of the Super Heavyweights from there have not turned pro in recent years. Majidov and Omarov, for example it doesn't look like they will never turn professional which is a shame.

    Filip Hrgovic - pro debut coming soon, was in camp with Klitschko, said he is definitely turning pro and wants to be world champ within 3 years.
    Ivan Dychko - pro debut coming soon, signed with a Austrailian promoter.
    Arslan Makhmudov - pro debut coming soon, he is in Canada with Beterbiev.

    Oleksandr Usyk, Murat Gassiev, Krysztof Wlodarcyzyk could all be moving up soon


    Kuzmin and Teslenko are the the truth, tell me 2 heavyweight prospects better than them right now? because I can not find any. and Hrgovic is a huge talent with a huge future.
