Will Joshua be the same after that war?

I didn't think he took much punishment at all and didn't think he was badly hurt he just seemed to be majorly gassed.

I have said things along these lines before.
In the UK, I feel we often rush HWs and can shorten and damage careers.
Joshua could have a couple of punishing fights like that which shorten careers and then get beaten by a fresher fighter who has had more fights but not as draining and tough fights.

AJ would be fine. He could again at end of July if he wanted to no problem.

    Absolutely yes.

When you are young and have so much energy, you'll recover quickly and will be only better.

Holyfield had 15-round war vs Qawi in his 12th fight and after that he only improved.

Joshua should continue to improve, he lives the life and doesn't appear to have bad vices out of the ring. Wlad had several even more physically damaging fights earlier in his career and has lasted this long.

It really wasn't a war, especially not for Joshua. It was an up and down fight which made it very exciting but was far from a war.

It was pretty clear AJ had shaken all physical and mental effects of any punishment he took by the start 11th. Let alone there being any lasting impact.

A young Joe Louis took a brutal 12 round beating from Max Schemling and was savagely knocked out. He still went on to become the longest reigning HW champ.

One tough fight isn't going to ruin a young motivated fighter.

He wasn't badly hurt when he got dropped by Wlad in the 6th? LMAO! He was hanging onto Wlad and got hip tossed into a corner.

And he got buzzed several other times in the fight. What are you talking about "just gassed"?? Lol

    That wasn't really a war.

Only one man landed the first 4 rounds and nothing very meaningful.

Rounds 8, 9, and 10 probably had less thrown/landed punches than HW average, certainly less than non-Klitschko HW title history average.

He gassed and got pecked at with some good shots. But the total number of them wasn't many. It was just dramatic for a good 6 minute stretch of the fight for Joshua. No long term harm done to him by Wladimir here other than the next fighter picking up some ideas or confirming thoughts.
