Let's say the fight does 1 million ppv buys, 70 million in revenue for PPV, also HBO does NOT get half, not sure where that figure is coming from. HBO would pocket around $5-6 million.
Then you have the gate which I have not researched, but expect it to be 10 million at least.
Then you have his Mexico TV stations, both TV Azteca and Televisa.
Then you take into account his sponsorships

With 1 million PPV buys, when all is said and done with all other tv stations, i reckon he pockets around 30-40 million.

We don't know the real figures because we don't know the PPV share (still cant believe people dont realize this is what determines what a fighter walks away with)

They are the guaranteed figures, that is not what they will be making.

 

You seem to not understand how this works so I will spare you the embarrassment. I never said HBO would get half. The cable and satellite distributors get half. It is a fact. Then HBO takes their cut then there are taxes, fees, and expenses. Canelo isn't getting close to what you are saying he will. Period.

So, to clearly answer your question - there is no source for what I said, just me talking at the top of my head. (although you could find various reports saying canelo will pocket around 30 million)

Actually after just seeing you said Canelo won't even make 15 million I see no reason to discuss anything with you as clearly you don't know anything about this...or are somehow underestimating how much money is made in these sorts of fights?

His guarantee is 5. Let's say the fight does 800k on PPV. That is 56 mil divided by 2 which is 28 mil. HBO gets their cut. You have taxes taken out of that as well. Then you have expenses. Then what is left is divided up for Canelo and Chavez PPV upside. It won't be more than 10 million dollars just for Canelo. So that is how Canelo makes 15 mil or less. This isn't even factoring in Oscar's cut. You are delusional to think he makes 30 or 40 million dollars.

I don't see any reason to discuss with someone that didn't even know the cable and satellite companies got half of the PPV revenue. I can assure you his purse will be closer to my estimate of 15 than yours of 30 or 40 million which is so stupid I don't know where to start.

 

Bad purses for the DL and Reyes fight, they deserve better than that IMO.

Big difference between what is filed with the commission and the actual purse. Seen this:

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is waiting to receive the contract, which he plans to sign, for an all-Mexican mega-fight with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on May 6th, likely in Las Vegas. According to Chavez Jr. - he agreed to all of Canelo's demands - including a new weight limit. According to Chavez Jr., he's agreed to all of Canelo's demands - including a new weight limit and a guarantee of $6 million plus a pay-per-view percentage.

 

AJ's guaranteed purse was £6.5mil ($8.5mil) plus PPV revenue. The fight smashed the PPV record of 1.5 million PPV.. reportedly doing over 1.6million PPV. So AJ got over £15mil ($20mil).

But because it was 50/50 Vlad got the same £15mil.. Had AJ's split been highter he could have easily made $30mil. Canelo guaranteed purse $5mil but the split is 65/35 in favour of Canelo so he could potentially make around the same if not more than AJ if the fight sells around a million PPV.

But those saying Canelo will make $40mil are being silly. Mayweather made $43mil for his fight against Canelo.. That fight did 2.5 million PPV. There is no way this fight does anything close to 2.5.. I'll be surprised if it does a million PPV.
