Rumour has it he had his life savings on Joshua.

 

I thought he was talking about having a thousand conversations with wlad as opposed to joshua. Or thats what he meant. I d hope so anyway.

 

Ever since Manny died I have always wondered WHY THE HELL Wlad didn't get back with Roach. He had worked with him before and they seem to have a good relationship.

Roach would have been levels above Banks and would have come up with much better strategies.

 

If true, Banks is definitely a backstabbing scumbag.

Banks Talked with wlad 1kx about Aj, that's what I thought he said. Or meant to say, of course having wlad UP 2 points was ridiculous.

Probably out of loyalty. Banks was groomed by Manny to be a trainer and was familiar with his and Wlads routine.

 

This is hard to believe but during the fight I was thinking that Banks didn't see the urgency in Wlad going all out but instead insisting to wait for Tony to tire in the later rounds. Vitali seemed to sense the urgency and he and Banks were both talking and competing for Wlad's attention: Banks had the left ear, Vit right ear. A lot of confusion

Wlad could have started a little quicker with the L hook, but the jab and grab only works when the opponents are doing the bums rush.

If, and that's a HUGE IF..... Banks was talking to Joshua as much as the statement obviously embellishes, then it's almost 100% to do with Banks looking to work with Joshua after Wlad hangs em up.

A fair mix of the Kronk style Banks is accustomed to, along with the vertical plane holding technique taught by Steward to Lewis and Wlad, and passed down to Banks, irt to defending against the bums rush from shorter, quicker opponents, would be a good fit for AJ, and maybe K2 is still trying to court the man, possibly for a co-promoter deal with Hearn, whereas Loeffler would represent him in the US and work him into HBO PPV.
