And Chavez stood on his feet the whole 12 rounds. So much for the power ouncher. Couldn't even KD a weight drained zombie.

So what, a 40 plus year old George Foreman used to do the same thing.

Thats what everyone does in sparring anyway

That fight was a light spar for Canelo, he was being attacked by less than 10 punches per round and he was controlling absolutely everything

    Surprised he broke a sweat

Him not sitting isnt a big deal in the slightest

Jr was literally a statue of a robot with only slow backwaters allowed. Jr punch and defend options were disabled. This could of been either he left everything and I mean every thing in camp or he simply showed up for the payday.

Canelo was obviously (hindsight) too fast and strong for any drained jr to be truly competitive. I was fooled into believing jr wanted this as much as canelo.

That's what happens sometimes with different level of fighters, size doesn't mean ****, I bet jr had no weight advantage. Hell, I bet canelo was heavier

Foreman did that between every round while eating and grilling burgers.

Chavez has always been a drained zombie, even back in his days as champion he would already drain him. So the fact that this "drained zombie" laughed at the punches of Martinez, Lee, and Rubio....Canelo not knocking him out doesn't seem to bad.

That's my point..if Canelo is such a huge puncher as I have seen some people claim, he should have been able to take out a guy not even trying to fight back. At least hurt him enough to make him quit.

Well when you consider it was a sparring match, hence the boos during the fight.

No, Chavez only stood up between the 1st and 2nd round, after that he sat down on the stool. What an example of Psychological warfare by Canelo. It must have been demoralizing for Chavez to see Canelo standing up in between every single round while he couldn't do the same thing.

Do you not get what I meant? Jr stayed on his feet the entire 12 rounds. Canelo couldn't even get a KD on a weight drained zombie who from what I've read, barely gave any effort.

LOL first of all how the hell was Chavez a "weight drained zombie"? You're just saying that to discredit Canelo. Chavez was universally praised at how easily he made the weight and how good he looked at the weigh-in. Chavez was in great shape and good spirits, he came into the arena carrying his daughter in his arms. I doubt a weight drained zombie would carry another human being in his arms before a fight. He was shadow boxing in the ring before the fight. He definitely didn't look like a weight drained zombie. In fact, he looked so healthy at the weigh-in that many people thought he was going to pull the upset.

As far as Canelo not being able to knock him down, well first of all what are the chances of a Jr Middleweight knocking down a Super Middleweight? Chavez has an solid chin and was a much bigger guy, so I don't see how you can complain about that.

It was odd that after the first round both Canelo and Chavez stood up during the break, but then after the 2nd round Chavez sat down. That's when I knew it was over lol. That was like a staring contest and Chavez blinked first. If you’re Chavez and you knew you couldn’t stand up in between rounds for the entire fight, why even stand up after the 1st round, only to then go to the stool after the 2nd? That just gave the impression of defeat right there, to play that game for one round than give up on that after the 2nd lol.
