Never forget, El Pollo gave up his title rather than fight Golovkin, he said 160 was too big for him to fight for the 160 lb. title! LOL! Then he agrees to fight an inactive fighter like Chavez, Jr., made Chavez drain himself, so that he would be weak, sick...............at 164.5 after claiming that he could not fight at 160! Does that make any sense? Oscar told Golovkin that he could not fight Saunders, if he did he would not get to fight El Pollo, but they lied, El Pollo will not fight Golovkin, watch and see..............

Well I think it was important for Canelo to fight a bigger guy, a natural Middleweight before getting in there was Triple G. Chavez may have lost his desire years ago, but he's still a decent boxer, with good power at that weight. I mean there were a few times last night that Chavez did try to land right hands with bad intentions. Canelo definetly felt his power, but Canelo has a such a tight guard that Chavez couldn't land those punches on Canelo clean. Canelo was just at a whole nother level last night. I mean after fighting a guy that big, I think the muscle memory from having to land punches on a bigger taller guy like that could pay dividends when he fights Triple G. Triple G will seem small in comparison to Chavez, and I think that's the sort of preparation Canelo needed before stepping in there with Triple G. Anytime you're a smaller guy and your fighting a much bigger guy, it is daring to be great. I mean wouldn't you consider Roy Jones moving up to Heavyweight to take on Ruiz as RJJ daring to be great? Ruiz wasn't exactly a top Heavyweight Champion, but just moving up in weight like that was seen as daring to be great. (not saying that Canelo vs Chavez was equivalent to that, but the same idea applies, when you move up and fight bigger guys in weight classes above your natural weight class, that is daring to be great)
