Daniel Dubois make a mistake not signing with Eddie Hearns?

If I was an up and coming fighter in the UK I would sign for Hearn in a heartbeat, sky is the best platform for these young fighters rather than the wasteland of Boxnation. We can only assume Frank offered more money along with the promises of this new deal with BT, could have appealed to Dubois.

He might not have had an offer. Idk how matchroom etc work but I'm sure they keep an eye on amateurs and Dubois had just won a team GB boxing championship when he turned pro.

Maybe the offer from Frank was too good to turn down and Matchroom hadn't offered yet?

 

Hearn has the better platform no doubt but I disagree with Sky having the better fights, Boxnation for all its faults has the better international fights imo.

Plus Hearns PPV cards have been awful.

 

Going to be interesting. now Warren has the BT deal.

 

He's very good indeed. He looks already like a very athletic HW in his late 20's. And the kid is still a teenager. With the right mindset Dubois will be main AJ rival few years from now.

I don't know why he has signed with Warren but I hope Warren will make him more than 5-6 fights per year at the early stages of his career (like Warren usually does).

 

If matchroom made an offer then I think he should have gone with them.
Boxnation have some potential with them being on BT now, but it's all uncertainties whether or not this will help them catch up to Matchroom

 

Boxnation has the best international fights yea, but I wouldn't say Hearns PPV are awful.
The most recent, AJ v Wlad, it's a smart business move to save as much money on the undercard when you know the headline sells the arena and plenty of PPVs alone. Gave Hearn a chance to promote his new signings too. Not great for fight fans, I didn't even watch the undercard and I usually watch the whole event, but it's a business move.

But look at the Brook card, 2 world title fights, David Allen, Anthony Fowler who was a good amateur, that's not a bad card at all!

 

The upcoming Brook one looks good but I was mainly referring to Joshua's fights prior to the Wlad fight.

 

He will end up in court in years to come

I dont know if this is the right answer by any stretch but Frank has built up many fighters from the start of their careers.
I think Eddie has done really well also and been involved in big fights but I think some of the fighters had already been built and established before he took them further like Brook, Froch etc. Could be wrong though.

I think either would/will do a great job and both have done alot for British boxing

So I would hardly say a made ww star
And froch was with fast mick on primetime / channel 5
He was not a ppv star fighting in massive arenas


Eddie stepped them up with backing
F w a n k likes to throw all his eggs in a basket you know like he did with Joe then wicky then khan and Frankie
They all left for one reason or another
