I just don't see this matchup being competitive at all, prime Canelo has way more talent and skill than a fading Golovkin. Please spare me the useless cliche "styles make fights" and "power" and whatever BS phrases that casuals overuse. What makes this a good fight? Canelo is clearly better in every category minus power and Golokins power isnt what it used to be. Easy work for Canelo
It's gonna be dramatic though. I mean Triple G is no joke, I agree Canelo is better in every category minus power, but it's going to be fun to watch, and something unexpected could happen. I wouldn't say it's easy work for Canelo, but he's going to give Triple G a lot of problems.
Nah I actually think Golovkin will lay a shellacking on Canelo. Canelo can't box like Jacobs. I don't think Canelo will give up tho, maybe late rd tko or UD win for Golovkin. Nobody's taking the 10 count here.
Well all the differing opinions about who everybody thinks will win is what will make the next 4 months exciting. I mean a fight like this is what boxing's supposed to be all about. This really has the possibility to deliver in ways that Mayweather Pacquiao didn't. Even if this goes 12 rounds, we're in for what should be a thrilling 12 rounds that makes us wanting more and an immediate rematch. This could be like Ward Kovalev only better and more dramatic.
So you are seriously going to use Jacobs and Canelo in the same sentence? Jacobs is a mid tier level talent that arguably beat Golovkin....Canelo on the other hand is an elite level talent, i'll have to disagree with your prediction its almost ludicrous.
Mid tier level talent? The dude is the second best middleweight there is and fought a close fight with Golovkin who nobody wants to fight. In fact he is on par with Golovkin. Canelo is an elite level fighter but so far only at 154. Who has he fought at 160+? Cotto - a blown up welter/154 Khan - Lol Chavez Jr - boring performance. Fought someone who was on a terrible game plan and was dragged down to 164. Canelo can't box at 160. Golovkin will be on him the entire fight maybe even out boxing him. Your posts sound like a 13 yr old girl complaining.
I know junior sucks but Golovkin might get it worse GGs way smaller than junior and won't be able to take the shots for 12 rds
Its a style match-up thats sure to provide some good action. GGG will get to him easy unlike Jacobs so Canelo will have to use his fists to fend him and not his legs. I envision GGG breaking him up and taking him out late , kinda like how Cotto was dismantled by Margacheta
