Canelo doesn't move nearly as much as Brook and doesn't ever hold.

Before Brook I thought GGG would win. After that fight and Jacobs I think Canelo out boxes GGG. GGG isn't hard to hit.

This! And I'm not the least bit surprised the usual suspects ignore that fact.

"Bu.. Bu.. But GGG got exposed doe!" after he won CLEARLY in a competitive fight.

    1) thanks
    2) With statements like that it makes you think about GGG recent performances and atleast consider he may have been dogging it a bit.

Oh for sure I didn't mean in style but what I meant as we talking power Brook didn't look that smaller than GGG and like Canelo he cuts a lot of weight and yet like GGG said he's no middleweight,GGG reiterated that point last night in an interview re Canelo, this is not 164 or 155 he said it's 160 as if to suggest it's a total different ball game?

One I've always said about Canelo which was backed up last night Canelo looks to har far more energy for not cutting so much weight, can't wait for those two in Sep.

I agree this is no easy fight for GGG. Canelo HAS power and his uppercuts and body work are enough to make anyone, including GGG, hesitant in the ring or at least get their attention and keep them honest.

GGG most likely by points (few 10/8 rounds) or late TKO

Again Canelo has power and GGG has a chin. Canelo was instructed by his corner around the 4th. Or 5th NOT TO GO FOR THE KO. Canelo showed mercy to Jr

What's wrong with you little g stans. Cinnamon is more technically sound than jacobs and just as quick just not as long. I can't wait to hear the excuse when little g is too scared to throw anything for fear of getting countered. I suspect the fight will be boring because little g will be fighting defensively the whole time.

You show mercy by getting out of there as quick as possible or beating him till he or his corner either quits or throws in the towel. You dont beat on a guy for 12 rounds unless you want to batter and humiliate them to make a point. Canelo is not a big puncher at MW. Not saying you can walk through his shots but his power isnt like you see from guys like GGG, Jacobs and Lemieux.

I think he's slowed down some but anyone who thinks GGG has no boxing skills just haven't been watching, doesn't he hold a record for the most jabs v Lemieux?not sure he can recapture that performance but I remember being totally mesmerised by that jabathon,he's also known for cutting off the ring, something Kovalev just couldn't do against Ward, his footwork whilst not fast or flashy is always precise to the point of I can't ever remember seeing him off balance and lastly his actual punching technique where he does that twist thing with his wrist is said by opponents to be pretty unique to him and you can see it hurts folk.
Canelo has improved quite a bit I think, the haters might tell you otherwise and that he won't improve but since Liam Smith who proved to be ten times the opponent Chavez was he looked like he'd brought some new things to the table namely a vastly improved jab and just a whole quicker out of the blocks, that said Canelo has had problems against the better opposition (to be expected)and has looked vulnerable to those with a good jab, obviously Floyd jab caused problems as did Lara's and more recently Amir Khan who actually has one of the better jabs around,no shame in being outboxed by Khan as that's what Khan does until he goes to sleep.
I do think both guys are closer together now in terms of skill, ring generalship and gas tanks but I've always been of the opinion that Golovkin jab will cause Canelo a heap of trouble esp if GGG gets his off first but speed wise Canelo is by far the quicker man but lastly in the power department I'm sure GGG has the edge and as an example can you imagine GGG going twelve rounds with that drained shell of a Chavez we saw last night?
Not taking anything away from Canelo as he dominated but I rather think had GGG been dominating Chavez like that he wouldn't of made it to the end,Chavez proved his toughness but Golovkin would of either knocked him out or he'd of quit,Canelo doesn't need to KO Golovkin to get the win and it's a good job because when you think of Canelo one doesn't think of him in terms of a knock out boxer,Amir Khan and Kirkland might argue with that but Cotto,Mayweather,Matthew Hatton,Lara,Trout and Mosley never looked like getting hurt and for me that's a worry as Canelo has never faced an opponent yet who could physically hurt him, where GGG has been in with plenty of big punchers in his time and if it's a slugfest instead of a technical affair then I see Canelo trying his heart out but coming up short and probably gets TKOd.

Canelo likely beats GGG with his overall skill, patience, and good power. Brook had GGG worried a bit.

If Canelo learns to block or duck Golovkin's over hand right, Canelo will win. Canelo is better skilled and more gifted.
