That part speaks volumes to how I think this fight will go. Unless GGG comes into this fight with the same determination that Wlad showed in his last fight then I don't think GGG is going to turn up the pace early enough and lose out because of it.

Exactly my point... the ones that say Canelo backed up and payed on the ropes and invited Chavez to throw punches on him, are the very same people that will say that Golovkin doesn't just let guys hit him... truth is Canelo layed on the ropes to get hit and invite action to open up counters, and GGG does the same thing..

Exactly right. Canelo wasn't worried about Chavez throwing punches and landing on him.. same as GGG does in his fights.. yet you have guys like Paulie and others in this thread swear that GGG doesn't do this..

They'll say GGG has no defense then turn around and say his chin hasn't been tested while talking up Lemieux, Stevens, or Jacobs punching power in the next post after that. They're all over the place. But as far as I can see GGG doesn't get hit that often and he showed very good defense in his last fight.

The people who think Jacobs beat GGG either have an agenda or are completely blind... GGG's defence in the Jacobs fight was excellent... The comentators were shouting when Jacobs used his right hook, but GGG caught many of those shots with his left glove...

I find it quite laughable that GGG fans seem to think GGG gets hit because he wants to. No fighter is perfect, GGG has flaws like everyone else and no head movement is one of them.

I thought GGG won that fight comfortably. I want to see it again though to double check.

Yeah I think some folk inc Paulie have misread the GGG thing,I mean 100% I can recall a few occasions against Monroe,Wade and probably others where he clearly beckons em on and practically just sticks his head out,he's not stupid though as he he always has chin tucked in so they're really only hitting his skull, heck he's even been interviewed about it with tick tick tick reply.

He did win comfortably. Jacobs looked hella flashy but most of his shots were picked off, slipped or bounced off Gena's back. His best work was done to Golovkin's body and tbh those punches he slipped under GGG's elbows were vicious and I'm surprised that they didn't have more effect. But compared to Golovkin's work, DJ was outlanded and compubox bears this out.
