AJ deserves Credit, not negativity.

Joshua is a young champion who carries himself well. Credit to the sport.

 

Fury did nothing close to toying with anyone and fought pretty much evenly vs a wlad not mentally in the ring.

Fury v wlad literally was fought on even terms, neither did a single thing for 12 rounds. That was against a bored with boxing wlad with a wife spending more time in the rubber room than during the entire camp.

Not great, not even very good..only good once you account for the expectations of a mismatch, which it would be with a mentally fit wlad. When fighters are supposed to get destroyed anything better than being destroyed gets way too much credit given.

Was there a round fury landed 10+ clean effective shots ?

Exactly. People try to act like that fight was a clinic. It was a close ugly fight with like 2 legitimate punches landed between each guy. Fury folded up like a lawn chair afterwards and the rest is history.

 

I think its well documented that Wlad took on Joshua because he truly felt he could beat Joshua. Thats what Wlad actually said, not what you said. You're clearly speaking on Wlads behalf lol. Or are you Wlad? All that training by Wlad, all that talking by Wlad, all cos you think he couldn't win it? lol.

Look, you made it out that Joshua was the only one of the 3 champions that had the 'guts' to fight Wlad and then later burried that claim by your acknowledgement that it was Wlad (not Joshua) who asked for the title shot in the ring after the Joshua/Molina fight. Everyone knows Wlad is so rich its not funny, it wasn't for the money. Wlad wanted to go out on a high. Wlad didn't go in there to lose, thats an insult to Joshua because it now sounds staged.

 

credit for defending against a 41 year old? small credit then, since there are prime young athletes out there for him to pick instead. this was simply an exercise in moneyspinning.

 

Well both Wilder and Parker need to get some exposure in the UK. That is where the $$ is for the heavyweights.

I know Wilder want a unification but he need to smash some can in the UK first so the casuals think he is great as well.

 

its difficult to really criticise AJ at all at this point. to do what he has this early in his career against a motivated klitschko is no easy feat. the positives outweigh the negatives by a large margin but people will always question it, human nature. fans of other fighters will say he has no chance etc its debate, part of boxing. same thing happened to nearly all the greats, Ali was a loud mouth, Tyson was untested 3 years into his reign after outclassing the entire division!

The only time I beat up on the Joshua praise is when people say he would beat anyone ever in history because he is too big and too skilled. I don't think the klitschko fight proved that. Apart from that I think the man is going on to great things, I hope he becomes the dominant force now.

 

What? Wlad didn't get in the ring and ask to fight anybody they announced that they would be fighting on April the 29th at Wembley stadium. Wilder has never made serious moves to fight anybody and Parker isn't ready for the top guys.

I don't need to add to what I said because its basically the truth and factual. OpinionsOfaCasual was talking like he was Wlad and I keep bringing very fair and solid points that were counterintuitive of what he was saying, mine were based on facts.

I was replying to you , firstly you made reference to "the other two champions" Wilder and Parker no ?

secondly you said Wlad got in the ring and asked for the Joshua fight after the Molina fight and you are presenting this as fact but actually it is a non fact because the only reason Wlad got in the ring was to announce the fight had already been made.

 

You have to understand the whole conversation between me and OpinionsOfaCasual.

First he made it out that Joshua had the guts and was the only one to take on Wlad. However, it was Wlad who sought to make his fight with Joshua happen. You are right about the very minor detail that it was an announcement made in the ring but the bottom line is I was correct and I corrected OpinionsOfaCasual view on Joshua being the only one to have the guts.

After OpinionsOfaCasual found out he was proven wrong on the main point of the argument which was guts, he then focused on Wlad not believing he could win. Why would Wlad fight Joshua if he didn't believe he could win lol. So I proved him wrong again as he spoke as though he knew Wlad. Lol it was too easy as you can see.

 

I tried not to mention them as OpinionsOfaCasual clearly doesn't like them but he kept bringing them up. OpinionsOfaCasual is obviously a fanboy. Im a fan of both Parker and Joshua and I like to think I see things more accurately. Speaking on behalf of others is not my thing, speaking on what we see and hear from those people is more me. Any opinions or ideas of mine, Id just say so

 

I'm swiftly becoming a fan of Joshua's though I wish his fans would dial down the hyperbole a bit more. I also see him as a (currently) very flawed fighter whose bubble could burst at any moment. But there's no reason to hate him.

Honestly though, aside from Wilder and Pulev there aren't any top level heavyweights that I dislike, and I don't even really dislike Wilder, just find him obnoxious and frustrating. Fury, Wlad, Joshua, Parker, Povetkin, Ortiz, all good.
