Wow was just looking up salaries for boxing refs- absurd!

    So Kenny Bayless for the Pac/Mayweather fight was paid- ready for this- 10 GRAND!!! Are you kidding me?? The boxers are making $150 million between them, and they only pony up 10 grand for the ref?? The referee is CRITICAL in any given fight, they have a huge role in outcomes, which based on those outcomes can literally shape the industry as a whole. 10 grand for the biggest money fight ever- that's just wrong in so many ways.

    Ten grand for each fight? If you ref 5 fights a month that is 50k a month, not bad.

    10 grand for that particular fight, most of the non-PPV fights are in the $2K range.

    Maybe that's why we get so many 'suspect' performances theyre hqving t supplement their income lol

    bayless is still making money we can only dream of. 4 million people didnt pay 100$ to see him

    They could make 10 times that and still take cash under the table. They would make a very good wage so its not like they NEED to suuplement their income. THEY WANT TO its greed not survival instinct

    Though i do think the refs are underpaid a bit

    Don't they have day jobs? Refereeing can't be the only occupation for these guys.

    Anyway, don't worry about Kenny. TMT took good care of Kenny for the Pacquiao fight.

    actually I was just being sarcastic lol but I do agree they are not paid well enough All officials should be professional and be held accountable for their actions. the commissions are as corrupt as officials

    The government does give you decent benefits for being blind, so it's not like reffing matches is the only means of survival for these guys.
