Is Joseph Parker fighting Tony Bellew next ?

Like I posted in another thread, we're not blaming Wilder for this. It's the WBC to blame, but Wilder can't fight Parker because Stiverne refused step-aside money.

 

It's a good fight because neither can beat Wilder or Joshua. The jury is still out on Fury.

 

Isn't he also mandatory for the European title? I'm assuming this fight is an eliminator for that.

 

Kudos to you, I had the same feeling - for the reasons you outlined - but without the nerve to put money where my mouth was. But we couldn't have known about the injury prior to the fight and I'm still not sure Bellew would have won without Haye being severely hampered...

 

Parker wins easy, Bellew is crap and small.

 

Parker should comfortably have enough to deal with Bellew I'd agree but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him struggle in that fight , I think You are overstating Parker assets , alot depends on how Bellew takes Parkers power which i think will prove powder puff at the level Parker has stepped up 2 I also don't think Parkers speed is anything exceptional and his ring iq is completely unproven , Parker beats Bellew because he's a heavy and Bellew is a cruiser but Bellew will expose weakness and further highlight Parker as a false contender for heavyweight supremacy.

 

I hope Bellow is not planning on another Achilles to get him out of trouble...

 

Bellow only beat Haye due to the injury. Even then the guy couldn't take out a one legged Haye ! It was a hollow victory at best.

As for fighting Wilder or Parker, unless one of them suffers an injury there certainly won't be any need for the Judges. Bellow gets knocked out.

I would say for Parker a fight with Bellow (or Whyte) is a good step in his career. Gets him into the UK and ups his exposure. Wilder needs to be fighting the best in the division and Bellow would be a poor fight to take.
