Joshua-Klitschko 2 Likely For Fall: Who Wins The Rematch?!?!?!?

I don't think the rematch will be much different than the first fight.

 

He had no serious stamina issues, AJ has been hurt while he was careless after he knocked him down in the 5th
round, a fighter doesn't have serious stamina issues when he can knock someone out the way Anthony Joshua did
in the 11th round.

 

Wlad should realise that he came out of the first fight with huge credit and actually improved his standing amongst a lot of fans. If he gets steamrolled early this time then all that goes out the window essentially.

He even said himself the timing of the first fight was perfect for him as any later and Joshua would have improved to the point he would be too good for him. Well that proved the case the first time so I don't see how Wlad does it this time. He hurt Joshua as much as he is physically capable of and couldn't get him out of there so I don't see how he can improve on that performance.

 

AJ is still learning and improving and Klitschko is losing his edge. He is amazing for a 40 plus year old and his experience really carried him through most the fight, but AJ's power and youth are a big ask.

Personally I would happily see Klitschko hang up his gloves as he has nothing to prove despite the fact he could still win against most the top 10 in the HW division.

 

You'd be a fool, you'd be a damn fool to write Wladimir off in this one.

 

one thing i wont need to do is such a big break down as the first one is the blue print. Really this fight shouldnt go past 5 rnds if Joshua fights HIS fight this time. If he should for WHATEVER reason play the take time /jab game with Wlad i see this as another great fight but ultimatley Joshua will have now better gage at when and where to put on the pressure. Right now without seeing how each will look......

AJ walks down and executes shot to **** Wlad just like in the first fight.

 

Don't really see a point in a rematch, the first fight was pretty decisive. At this point I'd rather see Wlad call it a career.

 

Delusional Wlad gets knocked out again.
See if the ref didn't stop it early we wouldn't even be having these rematch discussions.

I'd like for AJ to move on to Ortiz or Pulev or Wilder.

 

Thinking Joshua will come out strong and explosive trying to put Wladimir away early. Could happen or it could backfire. I have to go with Klitschko on this one. Wladimir has an uphill challenge though and a lot to lose if he doesn't succeed....in terms of many boxing fans having appreciated his game performance in the first fight. Big risk, big reward. If he loses again he should go out with his health. War Klitschko.

 

I wonder how much AJ can improve his stamina assuming he remains the same weight? If he had the stamina to keep up those onslaughts he would be a serious force to be wreckernd with, not that he isn't already.

 

Would rather see AJ make the mandatory IBF defence against Pulev than waiting to fight in October against Wlad. With AJ winning quicker a second time around there's nothing to gain from a rematch for anyone involved.

 

Logic dictates Joshua is likely to improve after that fight and it will be hard for Wlad to be as good or better than he was as he continues to age, even if that process is imperceptible. Wlad may well best be served by going all-in on a stoppage, rather than take his foot off the gas like he did after hurting Joshua in the 6th. But the truth is it's likely Joshua will win and more convincingly....

 

A fight later this year should still be a competitive fight. Wlad hasn't declined enough to be blown out early, I personally think this is a fight Joshua doesn't need. I could see Klitschko outboxing him, if he puts together a more cautious gameplan. Wlad could also decide to bulk up this time, and try to stop Joshua early rounds. Still 50 / 50 for me.
