This kid looks like the real deal, he is strong as an ox and he's just a boy! Must be one of the better prospects out there atm? Thoughts? I think he will be a British champ inside 10 fights, his old man certainly does too.
I believe so, he looks very promising and gave Degale and Eubank good work in sparring. He should be out again July 8th on Saunders card hopefully.
Looks very good in that sparring video. Looks like most of his fundamentals are good, though based on that clip he needs to use Jab more. A real strength looks like his ability to stay in the pocket whilst blocking and slipping shots whilst being perfectly set to counter, something that is rare in the UK.
seen him box once and he looked really good based on the eyetest and he looks good in that sparring video, seems like a top prospect
He's built much like Carl Froch, probably just a bit more muscular. He's a legit 6ft1", kind of fights a bit like a Cobra too!!! Great reflexes and a venomous punch. Wont be long and he will be fighting the likes of Smyle, Williams, Ryder etc, I think he will definitely end up a level above those blokes tbh. Will make waves in the near future.
More like 6ft but Froch wasn't true 6ft1 either. Looks good but I remember thinking how stiff he looked the 2 times I seen him on tv, although Froch looked stiff too at times and look what he achieved! Must be just a body shape thing.
Watched him closely last night. He has talent for sure, but think he was to eager to impress and hurried a lot of his work. Credit though to his opponent Adam Jones. He really gave Chelli a workout, a fight that Chelli will learn a hell of a lot from. One of the best performances I've seen from a journeyman in a long time, real tough ****er.
I agree, Jones made Chelli work hard and he showed up a few flaws, still a decent performance from Chelli. Looking closely @ Jones record he's never been stopped and has mostly fought blokes with strong winning records. His record looks miserable but he has had a couple of decent performances, not the worst journeyman going around by I still expected more from Chelli.
Jones is one seriously tough man. Like you say not a great record but his never been stopped and been in with alot of prospects and he gives them tough hard fights.
