No. Joshua won because he had youth on his side, and Wlad lost because despite being one of the best HWs today, is not a spring chicken and his body did not hold up.

 

No. Holyfield had the same situation when he invited young Vitali and Wlad to his camp in 1998 (though they never met in the ring later).

Ali - Larry Holmes is the 2nd example.

It's not an unusual situation when elite boxer invites top prospect in his camp.

 

It was a smarter move for Wlad to bring Joshua in. He was accurate in what he determined Joshua's vulnerabilities to be from those sparring sessions.

If I was Wlad I would constantly correct people who called me Mr. Klitschko "Actually, it's Doctor"

If there is a medical emergency on a plane or in a restaurant and they appeal for a doctor does Wlad come running to the rescue and launch straight into a violent heimlich manoeuvre?

 

Nope. Actually both Wlad and Vitali also got their PHD title in Germany and therefore in the EU. They can legally carry it there. That's not a matter of simply filing paperwork but you have to find a University who checks your PHD thesis for quality and consistency and then you have to 'defend' it in front of German professors of the subject. Which both K brothers did sometime around 2002/2003 as I recall.

 

Multi lingual with PHD's. Not some dope dealing street punks that wandered into a gym to sell gear.

 

Wlad was just doing what he felt like he needed to do as a long standing champion and role model of the sport. He cares greatly about his legacy but he has also invested a lot into growing the sport by teaching prospects and getting youth into gyms. I don't think Wlad has any problem with Joshua being his successor so long as Joshua earns it by beating Wlad in his best form.

 

So am I mistaken when I saw AJ actually start to slip and duck a lot of Wlads punches after that KD for a few rounds and even did a little yapping in Wlad's ear to even throw him off even more, only to recover and come back for a KO victory? Let me know. I don't want to appear to biased.

 

Pianeta spent more time in Wlads camp than Joshua. How did that work out for him?

 

If you have a PhD you are automatically given the title of "Doctor" before you name.

The word "Doctor" is not neccesarily a medical term and is widely used in lots of scientific disciplines.
