What is the worst stoppage you have ever seen?

100% agree, Khan was setting traps and laid down to give Canelo a false sense of security and they wave it off, absolutely shocking.

I thought the Adams stoppage the other night was terrible. Women's boxng should be no different to men's boxing when ot comes to stopping a fight.

 

Time to bring back Smoger ASAP. It's a ****ing joke to be frank. Khan even nodded to his corner on the way down to let them know he was fine.

 

Johnny Nelson v Carl Thompson maybe? Not sure if it's the worst I've seen, but it's one that sticks in my mind for some reason..

 

Actually shocked Groves one mentioned here. He was clearly going to lose and the fact the rematch was at Wembley Stadium shows the genius of Eddie Hearn. If i was Carl Froch i'd still be giving him sexual favours for the millions that generated for him!!

 

I ll actually second the groves one. Crazy considering the beating groves put on froch in terms of damage taking through that fight. First sign of groves being in trouble it was stopped.

To this day i still think foul play went on. Remember being stunned when it got stopped. Regardless if froch would have won or not...he did actually put in some decent work in the rounds leading up to it...but the ref did rob groves of the oppertunity. Knd of stopped it before anything had been concluded...its a bit like there being a beggining middle and end to a stoppage. He kind of stopped it at the end of the beginning in terms of the attack from froch. Stupid decision. Ended up working out for everyone. But still...shocking decision at the time. No one knows what would have happened because the ref robbed everyone of it.

Honestly if he would have stopped froch late...it would have actually been a better decision. Not that it was the right decision but a better one after watching guys like gunecht getting injured. Froch took so many headshots people we,re telling him to retire after it.

 

Froch v Groves 1 was a joke. No way should the fight of been stopped at that point. Froch may well of gone on to win but that's irrelevance. Groves got buzzed or you could argue hurt but the ref gave him no opportunity to show he was still capable of defending himself.

 

From what I remember Bellew v Mckenzie 1 had a shocking stoppage. Mckenzie put down got up and then the ref stopped the fight. It was a shocker!!

 

Canelo dropped his hands and left himself wide open for a counter after the punch landed. Had Khan been conscious he way well have capitalised on that schoolboy error.

Very unlucky for Khan and the loss should definitely have an asterisk against it.

Whether or not you think Groves was going to be stopped very soon, it is undebatable that Foster stepped in too quick.

I think when Foster jumps into Groves to stop the first fight, look at his head position and his hands, he's looking at the floor with his hands virtually by his side. He got wobbled or knocked off balance then takes a number of hard shots wobbled again including a couple that snap his head back on the ropes. Its a bit early but far from the worst... Not when you see some of these gems like Ovil and TB

 

Sexy hung canelo should have been allowed to finish him.

 

Cant believe people are defending the Groves stoppage. Its world championship boxing you have to give the guy a chance to weather the storm.
Nobody wants to see people get hurt but if you stop a fight when somebody gets in trouble then we may aswell get the head guards out and score landed jabs.
I was a massive froch fan back then and I just felt robbed of a great fight.
Froch may have gone on to win but how do we know Groves wouldnt have dug so deep he came back?
Groves got it spot on in the post fight interview. The ref looked at perceived reputations to decide.
