If it's the Randall version that beat chavez then I see a fluctuating fight with both men having success. They'll both realise how close it is as the final bell looms, so the fight will turn in to a slug fest. When the scores are read its Oscar by split decision, whilst the crowd disagree strongly.
Chavez was made for Frankie, I grew up in the same town with Frankie and actually ran with him once,,wayyy behind him.lol. He always said he could beat Chavez and I actually thought he could with his straight right. Oscar would be a tougher stylistic matchup, but Frankie could hurt him. No way though he'd get a decision with the golden boy though.
I think ODH would bank enough early rounds to take a solid decision...but think Randall would be coming on later.
Prime for prime, It would be a tactical fight. Close decison either way, but like Chavez, Oscar would probably have the advantage with subjective judges. This matchup could have happened in '99 at 147 lbs. if Randall had beaten Oba Carr, but Carr won and faced Oscar. I think if it had happened in '95 or '96 at 140 lbs, Randall would have had enough left to beat a not yet peaking Oscar who was still essentially a 135 lb. fighter at that time.
Chavez was already on the slide when Randall got to him and it was still very close with the knock down/low blow point deduction making the difference...anybody remember Chavez yelling " Fakk Richard Steele" in the post fight interview. lol. Anyway, Oscar takes this.
