    Dariusz would've been #2 at SMW if he campaigned down at that weight instead of 175.

    I never knew that 168 was ever even something that was in the cards for DM. :thumbsup:

    I think Michalczewski tends to be underrated on the whole by a lot of fans. He was talented. Always enjoyed watching whatever fights of his I could get my hands on, which I believe I usually did by purchasing VHS tapes from an on-line seller.

    Brewer should be there instead of Mundine IMO. Ottke was fortunate to get the nod in their first fight(though Ottke deserves to be above him). Swap Mundine for Brewer.

    I would love to gladly accept this :thumbsup: but I'm afraid someone who shall remain nameless might have, shall we say, embellished that quote of Michalczewski's a little bit or dare I say flat out lied through their teeth about it so I'm afraid I'm going to have to hand it back over to you.

    Michalczewski was a hell of a fighter and you are indeed not wrong in saying people tend to underrate him, especially those from over your side of the pond. I generally ignore these people and wish nothing but misery and woe upon them.

    I always watched his fights back then too, whenever possible :thumbsup:

    The timing did seem off when I read that, but I hadn't a chance to actually watch your links yet.

    And I agree with you, Americans tend to underrate him, but in fairness, we never got to see him over here. Since most people were so in awe of Roy's athleticism, most people just assume Roy would have beaten him, and I think there's a good chance Roy may well have beaten him, perhaps even dominated him. But at the same time, Michalczewski was 1 of 2 guys I thought had a serious shot against Roy at this time (the other being Jirov, which was often talked about but never materialized).

    I don't know for sure who would have won between Roy and Dariusz, and unfortunately we will never know.

    Incidentally, not sure if you saw my similar experiment on 175, but DM did finish in the top 10 there,

    For the record, Brewer came in 25th out of 33 for those super middleweights who qualified. He was hurt by only being considered top 3 once according to Ring, and it was a 3rd place finish that one time.

    Even many of those that have seen him in action underrate him. I think this is largely due to them being dog stupid or brainwashed or them being heavily intoxicated on the gallons of Roy's semen they slurp religiously.

    Personally I think he would've given Roy hell. Roy would not have enjoyed that experience one bit IMO. But I'm not going to get into it with anyone. Been there, done that, and destroyed lol

    Roy was ''shot to smithereens'' at 35 but Dariusz was still smack, bang in the middle of his prime at the same age or when 37 years old and had been out of action for 1.5 years against Tiozzo. Same old, same old.

    Jirov would've been a tough opponent for Roy too.

    Nice work Rummy!
    Surprise to see Roy placed so low but I guess it is justifiable as this is not h2h ranking, and he did spent a big portion of his career at lightheavy.
    For me the best comes down to 3 names only: calzaghe, jones and ward.
    Despite lots of dubious hometown decision, Otke deserves to be there based on his knock out of Mundine alone lol.
    I am glad to see Calzaghe comes on top, well deserved.

    Thanks for the video Rummy.
    The equation learned something about boxing in the time between this and the previous video it seems. ;)

    I would have expected you to skip the SMW division though, like the Cruiser one, because of its relatively short history. Middleweight is much, much deeper and I guess we'll have some surprising results in that one, beyond the obvious ones of course.

    Nice list that one.
    I do say this about RJJ though, if he campaigned at SMW for his entire career there is a better chance of him finishing at number 1. I think 168lbs we saw the best of RJJ.

    Joe's resume speaks for itself really. If they did meet in 98/99 I would have slightly favoured RJJ in a fight with Joe at 168lbs, once Joe's hands were starting to decline and he had to up his work-rate, I think that version would beat RJJ.

    I think DM should have been higher in the LHW list as well. He was GGG before GGG with people avoiding him like the plague.
