I've always said Pryor was made for Duran. I reckon Duran would chew him up. Picture the Duran that was cruising from lightweight to welter leading up to his fight with SRL. Duran has an ATG chin, almighty stamina, is awesome inside, has a frightening body attack, would have big power at 140 and does not mind being attacked with bunches of punches. Unless Pryor boxed i do not think he'd hear the final bell in a 15 rounder.

The offense that overwhelmed many he fought would be calmly diffused by Duran. Duran would meet such rushes head on. Duran would be far too tight technically and i'm struggling to think of any disadvantage he would have. Duran TKO around 11.

Yeah i think prime duran would be able to handle Pryors constant armstrong like offense although the pace would be incredible.

This fight with both guys at there best wow! Would have been a sizzling pace. Everything would have been thrown about in there. You would be holding your breath watching these two. My gut feeling is that Pryor whilst doing so well catching Duran early, would pay for it in the late rounds. If this is the classic 15 rounds then finally, after a war of warriors, Duran would come through and ko Pryor in the 14 th.

Duran by 15 round decision. Even though I don't see him kayoing Pryor, I think Roberto gives Aaron a tremendous beating after the early rounds.

I agree with all the comments except the distance, Duran would ko Pryor in about 4 or 5 rounds. Aaron when he got hurt which would be early would try and fight Duran. Referee would save him

I'm of the opinion that the version of Pryor that beat the great Alexis Arguello, is very problematic for anyone @ 140. But with that said, Duran's physicality and strength would be the prevailing factor here.

I really like Pryer, would pick him to beat almost anybody, but I think Duran would really beat him up bad, early to mid round KO. Pryers only hope would be to box beautifully, hit and run, he might have a chance, but I don't think he would take that route

Duran was the better boxer between the two. I think his superior defense and boxing ability would be the difference. He is gonna land the cleaner shots consistently. I agree it would be a great fight.

Pryor had a tendency to walk right into punches, which is why he got knocked down early by the aging Cervantes as well as randoms like Akio Kameda and Dujuan Johnson. You couldn't make those type of mistakes against Duran and expect to have any chance. Pryor's lax defense betrays him, Duran by KO within 5.

Duran's a stylistic nightmare for Pryor. He would eat him up.

Duran was a fearsome force between the lightweight and welterweight divisions. Pryor was a heckava fighter in his own right. But got to go with Duran on this one. His foot speed, his ability to slip and counter esp the right hand(ask R.Leonard who missed a ton of right hands in Montreal) Pryor's wildness wouldn't faze Duran one bit. Duran by late stoppage. He was just a better more complete fighter.

Duran at 135 and 140 is practically unstoppable. At 147 he is H2H top 10 comfortably with speedy opponents potentially troublesome. At 154 speed starts to become his nemesis but he's still a formidable fighter. At 160 he can trouble those he is stylistically suited against.

Comments? That's just thinking out loud after some Jimmy's.
