He's done with Roc Nation and now is a free agent. Roc Nation wasn't willing to pay an amount to Cotto that satisfied him. So what now? Who's willing to pay the crazy amount of money that Cotto demands? Maybe Al Haymon?

Imo I think he's done. I don't think any promoter is gonna be willing to pay big money to Cotto to fight a tomato can and Cotto nowadays only seems interested in fighting non risky opponents.

    Thoughts?

I like Cotto but his diva antics are old. He should retire. His heart isn't in it.

He's had an excellent career and obviously just wants the money at this stage in his life, but even now if he wants the mega money he needs to give the paying public a credible name.

I wouldn't like to guess where he goes from here....

i wouldnt mind seeing him vs jmm. 2 top fighters from their era giving us 1 more good one before hanging them up to let the new blood have their day in the sun.

Not really any fights I even want to see him in. Lemieux or Charlos, sure, I guess. I do tend to think Cotto/Bradley or Cotto/Marquez happens. There's enough money in those fights, he would be the favorite in them, and HBO should be interested in the one-off.

Took the words out of my mouth! He gave us great fights but he's just too much of a diva to continue.

And I wouldn't want him to fight JMM to be honest. Cotto is just too big and I can't even imagine how much money he would ask for that fight and at what weight...

Hmm not much love for the Boricua crusher I see.
I don't mind a bit of diva antic tbh, especially from somebody like Cotto who has given a lot and paid his due.
Judah Mosley Margarito Pac Mayweather Martinez Canelo clottey mallinaggi Torres. He has tangled with the very best in his era and most are entertaining fights.
Who ever promoter he signs with I still hope we can see him fight somebody like Bradley, Marquez or somebody with similar career stage as him.
