GGG is P4P #1 on a lot of lists, so dont say he wasnt prime when Nelo beats him

El Pollo insisted he have a rematch clause, but that Golovkin could not have one.............why? El Pollo also required all three judges and referee to be owned by him...................does not seem that confident, not to mention giving up the 160 lb. title.................Golovkin by knockout!!!

 

GGG was a 5-1 fave after Canelo bested Khan and more like 5-4 now. That's a huge shift so you can't say perception of GGG abilities hasn't changed

 

Good, so El Pollo will be confident, tell him to give up the rematch clause if he is so confident................and the judges/ref

All of a sudden everyone is on the Canelo bandwagon because of how fast and fluid he looked against Chavez . I think GGG will control Canelo's outbursts with a precision piston jab and control of distance and slowly break him down. If Canelo can out slick GGG , I'll give him full credit no excuses.

 

Got no problem with that. Hopefully the fight turns out closer to your scenario than mine. I want to see a good competitive fight.

 

GGG is NOT in his prime right now. He's already peaked and is on his descent. I think that's pretty clear to anyone who's been following his career.

 

Roy Jones was still P4p #1 But was slipping for 5 Years by the second tarver fight in 2004. In 2001 they were already saying he wasnt the same fighter anymore after the Gonzalez fight(and i agree) but until he lost to Tarver 3 years later, he was still even higher regarded P4p than GGG is now .So just because GGG is still in the p4p list and undefeated doesnt mean he isnt slipping.
