Terence Crawford vs. Félix Díaz & Raymundo Beltrán vs. Jonathan Maicelo RBR

Actually, having watched more closely in the second half and then seeing the slow motion highlights of some of the key exchanges, I'm reassessing whether 李同輝's punching technique is all that bad. I think Calzada might just be a slippery, awkward, tough veteran journeyman. He was rolling with some of the shots he took, reducing their sting and making 李同輝 look as though he were getting wild although upon closer scrutiny 李同輝 was mostly picking his spots well and doing it by the book. 李同輝 is definitely not fast, and he now falls to just below a 50% KO rate taking Calzada the distance so his power might not be quite soul-reaping at 154lbs, but he's a good strong pressure-boxer. Might not be a titlist but he'll be a perennially top 15 ranked guy at least. Could be really fun to watch in with the right dance partner. Probably gets schooled and shutout in a stinker by some of the speedy and slick guys in the division, though (Andrade, Trout, etc)

Shakur Stevenson vs. Carlos Gastón Suárez, 6 rounds @ featherweight

 

Round 1

Gastón Suárez is having trouble getting past the southpaw jab of Stevenson. Darting in and out, Stevenson is prodding Gastón Suárez in the chest and starting to sprinkle in left crosses on the face. Gastón Suárez is pinning his arms together, finger paddings steepled over his eyebrows and elbows up at his nipples, charging in with head low and trying counter uppercuts through Stevenson's blur of lefty 1-2s. Gastón Suárez is jelly-legged by a 1-2 followed by a heavy left uppercut downstairs. Another combo, and Gastón Suárez is down.
