The difference in Canelo-ggg will be....

I dont quite understand where you get the fact if it took GGG 8 to stop Lemmy then thats enough to show Canelo beats GGG.

 

LOL what makes Trout better than Lemieux or Jacobs.

Oh and you could say Canelo arguably lost to Lara AND Trout, so some people could have him 1-3 out of the 4 fights you claim help him.

Trouts only notable victory is over Cotto, he's lost everytime he's stepped up otherwise.

 

I'm not really bothered who wins this, but there are plenty who think Canelo lost in all four of the Mayweather, Trout, Lara and Cotto fights. As regards exposure to the "top fighters of this era", Mosley was ready for a retirement home and Cotto much smaller and past his best. Even Mayweather was 37 or so. Ok triple G is 35, but he was a late starter and hasn't had that many ring wars.

Neither of these guys brings anything the other guy hasn't seen before. It's just about who can put it all together on the night.

 

Golovkin had 350 amateur fights an olympic medal and is pro fighter nearly as long as Canelo.
Yeah Canelo fought better fighter but until the Chavez Jr fight Canelo fought mostly smaller guys

Beside Chavezj Jr and mabye Angulo Canelo fought mostly smaller guys. Golovkin fought big guys like Murray, Jacobs, Rubio or Ishida too.

Golovkin fought a more technical fight vs Lemieux because Lemieux is a huge puncher. He still won every round of that fight. Yeah Golovkin had some trouble with the LHW version of Jacobs but still knocked him down and deserved the win.

Canelo arguably lost to Lara and Trout, definitely lost to Floyd, and Cotto gave him a run for his money. I'm just saying if you're gonna say that GGG arguably lost to Jacobs then you have to keep it real for Canelo too.

But I agree with you that if this one is a close fight with swing rounds, Canelo will get it.

 

Tequila will be stifling and rampant this night and if GGG gets the nod in a decision, absolute bedlam follows,
chairs thrown into ring, beer bottles, throngs of boos, threats. This to Mexico is a mega-mega fight and there better be a lot of security because 80% will be rooting for Canelo.

The difference? Golovkin is a brutal puncher and Alvarez is not a mover , he's a counter puncher. When GGG moves in on him Canelo with his style has 2 choices . He can stand his ground and try to counter, something big middleweights like Lemiuex and Jacobs couldn't do. Or,, he can give ground and try to become a mover , which he ain't. If age doesn't rear it's head , and I don't think it will due to the styles , I see Golovkin scoring a KO with the referee stepping in between 5 and 8 rounds. GGG is all wrong for Canelo,......and Oscar has known it for 3 years.

 

I actually think Golovkin is going to knock him out inside 6 or 7 rounds unless he's aged immensely since his last fight.

I think Jacobs' style was all wrong for Golovkin, but Canelo doesn't utilize the type of movement that Danny does. He'll be in the pocket looking to throw his fast combinations and also for counterpunching opportunities. I've seen Canelo hurt by guys that probably don't have half the power that GGG carries in his hands. Unless he goes into survival mode, I don't see Alvarez making it to the final bell.

 

Exactly how see it. Think canelo will land some nice combos but ggg can take it. Canelo is outgunned in this fight.
