Lay it all out, who do you have in this fight? There's a lot of hype surrounding Crawford ATM, but who really wins this one? Crawford has definitive advantages in dimensions and youth , but let's not write off the old man Pac yet. Pac still has the extraordinary speed of hand/foot, a probable power advantage, and ring experience. They have similarities in awkwardness in the ring and using angles with punches etc.. So does Bud overwhelm Pac or does Pac shock and awe him with speed, power and experience?
Just goes to show how good Pac was that even now it would be a pickem when way past his prime against a very very good fighter
This match-up is kinda unfair on Pac. At this stage of Manny's career, Bud would be way too much for him...
And I don't doubt his cojones to do so. But how does he beat Bud? Manny has not stopped anyone since 2009 - or more specifically when he stopped strength and conditioning training with Alex Ariza - so the evidence is, his only route to victory would be by points. Watching clips of him on the pads and bag, it's clear he's lost s step or three, and Crawford is in his prime. I just can't see Manny circa 2017 or 2018 having enough left in the tank to take on the best in the division and win over 12 rounds. He's not even got a puncher's chance. Not this decade's version...
Well I didn't say 'easily' - you used that word not me - but I favour a prime Pac over Bud. Seriously dude, if you're gonna try and reconstruct someone's PoV to make the case opposite to the one which you think you can identify and tacitly make your own by proxy (an age-old forum tactic), you're gonna have to do better than try put words in my mouth. Or find a horse you can jockey...
I cant help but think that if arum puts this fight together he knows 100% that crawford will win...he is sacrificing his old cash cow for the new one. he wouldn't risk crawford losing or it damages his long term revenue stream. I suppose the only caveat here being that if pac was to win would it ligitimise a floyd rematch ?
