What if after the Tyson fight Tony Tucker got back in the gym and came back fighting?who would he fight on the come back trail could he take Tyson in a rematch we know now Mike's life was in a tail spin before Buster Douglas beat him .Tucker seemed to disappear with personal problems just when he could of made a big impact. What happens to the HWs with Tucker in the mix?

    Not much different.

He was promoted by DKP, but his father was in that management group. If memory serves, he had sold 125% of Tony about 18 months prior to the Tyson fight. So whenever he fought, he was never going to get anything. But those financial background stories were with the guy before he was a ten round guy. Somebody somewhere was signing contracts they shouldn't have.

Tucker swears that without the broken hand he would have knocked Tyson out.

If he'd have stuck around he'd have possibly got a shot at holyfield, perhaps in place of cooper. Or even a rematch with tyson on his comeback after Douglas. Would have been a interesting match up if he had. Or he could have ended up being put in with ruddock or a dokes.

A broken hand is no laughing matter, the fight should have been a NC.

If a fighter breaks his hand after hitting his opponent, he has two options: 1) quitting, and having the result be a TKO loss, or 2) toughing it out like Tucker did. There are absolutely no grounds for ruling it a NC. But, you know that, Wass. You are just doing your typical trolling bashing Tyson. Get a life!

I am not laughing about the broken hand, rather tucker's view he could have got the ko, that's what they all say.

He was around for most of that stuff. He missed two or three years after the Tyson fight.

But didn't get back in to the big time again really till he took on Lewis in 93,if he'd kept on fighting he could have got a shot at holyfield in 91 or a fight with ruddock. He may have been fighting bigger names earlier is what I mean. Tucker from losing to tyson didn't really show up properly on the radar again till Lewis. There were no major names on his record in that time to call anything.

Rumours are he had the injury before the fight, a clear NC if ever there was one. Tucker must have believed someone beating Tyson was just on the horizon hence taking the fight with a broken hand. I think he would have knocked Tyson out with a good hand just like the inferior Douglas did.

Norris was top ten, I think. Tucker's career would've been different if he blew him out.

Is this an alternate reality where Tony Tucker didn't return in 89 and fought for another decade?

He missed two years with the hand injury and drug problems, but I can't say he would have made a huge impact on 88 or 89 had he been there. Like most Tyson victims, he likely would have took on cans to keep his record fat until it was time to feed him to somebody..basically what happened.

    Norris was robbed.

tuck still would have run into drug issues, thus mental issues really shortened his career (drug issues are really mental ones at the end of the day).
