Who wins? Joe Calzaghe vs Andre Ward

Both are slick fighters but Ward is slicker than Calzaghe.

 

this ought to bring out the legendary European - north American rivalry among posters like no other fight!
very difficult for me to pick an outright winner, but i'd have to lean towards andre ward, simply because his win over kovalev trumps any win against a prime fighter that Calzaghe has comfortably
if Calzaghe hadn't of wasted so many years as a frank warren fighter, he could have tested himself against the best fighters in the world when it mattered, and it might be easier to give him credit - but he chose not to

Calzaghe equals or trumps Ward in all departments: skills, workrate, stamina, speed, footwork, punching power, offense, defense, slickness, adaptability and chin.

 

LOL Ward and relatively easily most boxing experts would agree Ward by UD or late stoppage.

That's a good fight, I would loved to see that one! I'm not sure how to pick a winner but I'm leaning toward Calzaghe.

The common quality opponent is Kessler and Calzaghe impressed more in that fight than Ward did. I had Kessler winning both fights before hand but Calzaghe really took the fight to Kessler and beat him up while Ward clinched and dirty boxed to a win.

Calzaghe is very underrated.

 

No I'm not lol. Not a Ward fan but I do respect his skill.

 

Ward is invincible.

 

it would come down to whose home country they fought in, with whose home judges and ref.
