Even after winning World Titles from very soft champions, the people knew that both get pumped when fighting REAL World Class Champions and Challengers. The very soft mismatches such as Jo Jo Dan and Funky Gavin take their toll eventually when crunch time comes. Tony Bellew and Callum Smith both stated last night that Brook was defeated by a broken heart. No experience to fall back on when the going got tough except the limited Carson Jones scuffle. Eh Day now on his knees begging Khan to fight Kelly Pluke. Fools and their money easily parted.
Excuse me daft hole burns fought for 10 rounds with a broken jaw and has had twice the world title fight kell has had. You should try it yourself mate your opinion 100% will change
twice the losses too, and way more if you give him fair decisions on some of his fights. but he certainly a tough mutha I will give u that.
How is Shawn Porter a 'very soft champion'. He had a very close fight with Keith Thurman who's arguably the best in the division and he's beat Berto & Broner. I admit Kell should probably have tried to see the fight out considering he's defending his world title in front of his hometown fans but you can't say he's not world class. He dominated the first half of the fight, Spence is just a quality fighter who found a way to grind out a win.
Not sure what's going on with you in the last 12 hours or so Jurgen. I normally like your posts especially when you whinge on about ppv but you seemed to be going on a bit of a mad one. He could have ducked Spence and moved up in weight so he deserves respect for taking the fight against a fighter I believe will reign has top dog in that division. I've said it a few times over last few months that I thought Spence would win. Going down to 147 at his age imo was just too much. It's not healthy & he suffered for it late in the fight. However, respect to Kell, he is world class. If he couldn't see out of that eye then he did the right thing staying down on his knee. He'd have listened to specialists telling him only a few months ago how lucky he was not losing his sight in his left eye. Them words would have been ringing in his ears has the ref counted him out. He's a warrior, not a bottle job, and he deserves respect.
Say what you want about Burns but he would never quit with a broken eye socket. He might not have the ability of Brook but he has way way more pride and heart.
"In the later rounds 10 and 11, especially 11th round, it stuck there and that's why I went down on one knee and I remember the surgeon saying to me after the Golovkin fight if you would have gone another round or so you could be blind so I've got that going through my mind as well" Well, that backed up what I said above. He was causing GGG problems before his eye socket went and the same with Spence. He's very unlucky.
Well this is a new one on me. How can you be a 5th anything? I get even fractions but uneven fractions........?
