Kathy Duva tried to get neutral judges, but Ward refused to fight unless he got to pick the judges...................

Someone explain why neutral judges would be unfair?

Ward doesn't care about being fair. He wants the win regardless of how it goes down.

You will start getting replies pointing out that team Ward have no say at all in who is picked as refferee or a judge the state commission or somebody like that does that. That is there excuse for this. But the truth is both sides know the state would pick 3 American judges that are classed as neutral as both fighters fight out of America. If both teams could agree that 3 external judges would be acceptable then the state commission would be obliged to find 3 real neutral judges with atleast 2 of them being from outside America. Duva asked team Ward for this and they said no.

Which is exactly team Ward blocking the chance of having neutral judges whilst at the same time having an excuse to hide behind which is the state picks neutral judges so its nothing to do with them they are being fair even though its nailed on that those 3 neutrals are American neutrals.

Edit, I dont think it is the state commission, i may well be picked up on this but im not sure who it is by name so who ever it is is who i mean when i say state commission.

Spence travels to Sheffield to take the belt from Brook by beating him and stopping him in the fight. Ward makes sure the belts never leave the US before every fight.

of course it's unfair.Kovalev could win the decision. It's totally unfair to Ward who is the champ.Ward believes you have to beat the champ to be the champ. And decisions are not the way to get it.

maybe they add a rule.if it's TKO fir Kovalev,it's declared as a draw.Kovalev needs honest KO to win.even then he is in danger of DQ.

It's not about facts and logic, it's about alternative facts ( pretend) and imagined victimization.
Just making up **** because you hate a guy is stupid but, if the shoe fits...

Ward is the ultimate control freak and will seek control come hell or high water - it's even evident in his style.

Good point, I'm not Wards biggest fan but the guy is always supremely confident and undeniably intelligent in the ring. The rematch is going to be interesting to say the least. I don't think the judges will play a huge role in this fight for some strange reason I feel this one is going to produce a somewhat polarized result, for who I don't know yet.

It's America. If u want to be paid like Americans deal with it. Plenty of foreigners have no problem winning in the USA. If Kovalev is so concerned about corruption he can leave his gorgeous home in Florida, USA and fight in Russia where the first check will bounce and your cousin turns up face down in a river when you ask about the check bouncing.

That's a winner mentality. Ward is ready to anything to win, including refusing to fight unless every advantage is given to him. Mayweather's school of business, class 101.

That sort of stubbornness is a quality which makes him a great fighter in the ring and truly separates him from other fighters around his weight class.

From my perspective it isn't admirable and is why I don't rate Ward in my top 5 pound for pound. Some form of humility may actually work in his favor to gain the bigger fan base he wishes he had.
