First off let me be clear I couldn't be happier that Spence went into the lions den and took the belt from the champ but after watching the fight again you can clearly see he got up at 9 and his corner waved it off how can people call him a quitter ?

Last I checked it was his eye not ours. Israel Vasquez just had his eye removed. Some people need to pump the breaks before calling fighters quitters !

There is quitting, there is even quitting twice in 2 fights if you want to count the GGG fight yet i still dont see him as a quitter. Andre Dirrell is a quitter. Totally differnt circumstances.

It's completely understandable. Potential eye injury is no joke. He just had a surgery on the other side of his eye.
Losing a belt is nothing compare to losing your vision, and opinion of a few stupid blood thirsty fans is not worthy of consideration.

It was Brook who stepped into the Lion's nest. He came back way to soon from such severe injuries. His facial bones needed more time to recover actually. Without that preexisting injury he beats Spence.

He did the right thing and lived to fight another day. The man is not supposed to lose an eye and suffer brain damage for our entertainment.

If the referee knew the extent of the damage they would have stopped the fight. Brook took a knee sacrificing a point on the cards to try and get clear vision. He didn't quit. If you want to see quitters go look at Nicholoas Walter against Lomachenko, Donaire against Vetyeka, Garcia vs Salido, Ortiz against Maidana, Judah against Khan, BHop against Dawson 1 and Joe Smith.

Some of your examples are stretches Hopkins went through the ropes and fell a few feet on his back at 50 against Joe Smith

So every time Knelt Brooks gets punched in the face it'll be an excuse to quit?

    Might as well retire

He did quit, but there's nothing wrong with it. He is scared for his eyes. Supposedly he suffered another orbital injury.
