Bellew has had the run of luck for too long now and it is only a matter of time before his bubble gets burst. I just hope it is against a fit Haye in a rematch. IF Haye can get fit, Bellew is in for the shock of his life.

I found Bellews comments very distasteful, he was basically calling Brook a coward without actually using the word. I've never seen Bellow in a situation like that where he is in danger of losing his vision, it's so easy to say carry on when you've never experienced a situation like that yourself.

Tony needs to have another read of his Warriors Code, particularly the bit about defending your title against your tough mandatories and not running away. Maybe Kell can give him some pointers on that one...

You're right, he was a proper bottle job getting in the ring with David Haye and also earning so much money that he would have to fight 10+ times in the cruiserweight division to earn anywhere near that.

He is an idiot at times, there's no debating that, but let's not pick apart his career because he's over achieved if anything.

It's very easy for these fighters to say they wouldn't quit having never experienced the injury before.

Arm, leg, rib injuries are completely different from eye injuries. Your sight is precious.

Its not really an argument. Theres no shame...in quitting when you ve gave it your best regardless of injury. Dangerous thinking making out there is. What gets me is theres been hundreds of fighters that have went in the ring just to survive the 12 rounds. Not even trying to win a fight...that get a lot less shame. Kell gave it his best in there and came up short. No shame even if the eye never gave him any problems. But taking into account the eye...its a no brainer. The fights done. Even danny williams as inspirational as that was...wasnt exactly fighting someone like spence. Dangerous enough without having an eye injury to boot.

Bellew has a short memory, he basically quit against Stevenson by not engaging and looking to survive. At least brook tried to win the fight unlike the so called brave lion heart bellew. Even my wife can't stand him, every time she sees him she says " I hate that ****ing knob head "

Wasn't he talking about the "most important thing is getting home safe to my family" before the Haye fight? He's a fraud. He tries way too hard to come across as a tough guy. I bet when the going gets tough, Brook had way more balls than him.

The same burns that fought for 8 rounds with a broken jaw? Same Burns that fought for 12 rounds getting battered left right and centre off Crawford and countless other opponents? yeah that guy is gutless !!!???!!!

What a stupid stupid comparison Burn is known for being fairly basic in his skills but one of the toughest guys out there ?! you dont have a clue !

Has Brook definatly fractured his eye socket?
Last time vs ggg iirc he posted scans up of the injury. But theres nothing on his fb or twitter.
Im asking because i watched a vid yesterday and he had more or less just got back into tbe changing room and he was sat in a chair and he run both hands fown from the top of his head to his chin in the manner of despair or something like that.
I found this a bit odd considering the circumstances. I had the ssme injury yrs ago and i wouldnt expect soneone to voluntarily apply slight pressure to the area, which is what brook did with this mannerism. It does hurt.
I know this is slightly OT to the OP but it does have some relevance.

    Just an observation

He's had his cash out with Haye much like Brook did with GGG, however where Brook insisted on the Spence fight (Hearn didn't want it) Bellew is still avoiding his dangerous mandatory to chase silly HW fights. No matter the outcome Brook is fighting for his legacy, Bellew to top up his bank account.

Don't see how any fight fan can defend him.

Its not what Bellew said for me, it's about it coming from him of all people. Watch his fight with Stevenson after all his talk, hardly went out on his shield did he?
