From Twitter Sources. GGG know's Canelo will be easy work, he has his sights set on bigger things. Maybe he'll call out Ward after the bout, perhaps he could face him in 2018 in a Superfight?
Evidently, GGG is a boxing fan. He was at the first one too, I thought. Also, he is probably there in support of Kovalev. Rest assured, though. He does not want it with Ward. Jacobs was a legit problem for GGG at 160. Ward would be his undoing at 168 and above. He would be wise to not look past Canelo either. Oscar and Canelo aren't stupid, they delayed this bout until they could find legitimate flaws in GGG's game, which Canelo could exploit. Though styles make fights, the fights with Brook and Jacobs revealed that GGG can be outboxed at times. Canelo, though not the fleetest of foot, is an exceptional boxer.
I dont think either GGG or Ward have any big ambitions to make this fight, he is there as a Boxing fan and friend of Kovalev.
Ward will feel better seeing GGG at the ringside, thinking "well at least that's ONE bullet I dodged."
