but Wards team thought that JDJ was Kovs strength and conditioning coach and thought that Kov fired JDJ or did they really try to lure JDJ away from Kov lmao. And I heard that Wards people contacted JDJ first and not the other way around. Wassup wit dat lol..!!!???
That time after the fight when Kovalev was throwing JDJ under the bus with all types of excuses, that's when these talks took place. Maybe JDJ thought he was going to be dropped. Not only that: "Both Prince and Dubin are very friendly with Jackson, because all three of them have a business relationship with heavyweight Bryant Jennings." These dudes know each other and talk all the time. Somewhere along the line Kovalev likely decided he can't win without JDJ and that's the only reason why he's still around. Lol at this talk about loyalty. Excuses are ready, and the fanboys got a foil ready to go when they take another L that they know is coming.
Nobody knows just yet what exactly has gone on here. I dont know whether he quit or was fired from his role but either way it is because they blame him for Kovalevs poor conditioning. My guess would be he was bitter and was offering inside information on Kovalev training for the rematch to team Ward, for a fee ofcourse and team Ward have stayed away from it.
We'll never know what truly went on but team Ward come across as sneaky and underhand imo. And tbh if I was SK I wouldn't be happy that JDJ actually told them his "price", a team is a team at the end of the day and JDJ whilst turning down this chance showed that bey offering a price money mens more than his loyalty to SK.
Lol @ talking about loyalty when it comes to Kovalev. JDJ is contracted to do a job and that's it. Also Kovalev should listen to him more as the only chance he has is follow his gameplan. Here's an interview where JDJ criticized Kovalev's conditioning and he didn't allow the team to get him properly prepared. This content is protected Time stamped to the question asked. Keep in mind, after the fight when Kovalev was on his whine tour giving every excuse in the book on why he lost, he blamed JDJ for working him too hard before the fight making him fatigued. Where was Kovalev's loyalty when trying to throw JDJ under the bus?
