i think most of the time it is their psyche. Or they are biting of more than they can chew. Broner comes to mind.

It's weird because some fighters just keep fighting. Groves got KOd real bad the second time vs Froch. But now he's a champ. He has got his groove back. He did a good job of beating Murray. Also beat Jack. And he crushed Chudinov

Watch Duran pummel Davey Moore, Moore was young but he was never the same and was later killed in an accident.

    Lucas for sure.
I think Danny just got cocky.

Lucas came back though after Molina where he got dragged into a war, then vs Provo, he boxed like a new fighter, busting the relentless Provo up.....now that's a fighter who I think was ruined in a fight.

VS Postol.....all the hugging just broke him mentally.

The eye was really just an excuse to get out the hug fest.

Getting beat when you are unbeaten in front of all of your family and friends can be mentally changing.

I can remember the first time it happened to me, I woke up in a gimp suit and a cooper ball in my mouth while all my loved ones could do was keep looking away.

It changes a man, let me tell you.

More psychological than physical. These men have been getting punched in the face for most of their life. One night isn't going to drastically alter them, takes years of accumulation.

If the Vegas judges hadn't saved Floyds ass against Castillo. Floyd would have self imploded just like Hamed

People are to quick to judges a fighter, if you fight enough you will lose a fight, but can come back and win like the old days.....................too much pressure on the zero which makes dull fights and create frauds like Wilder...........

It depends on the fighter. Rhonda Rousey is a perfect example. In her mind she was the greatest fighter to have ever walked the earth. For some fighters that zero is huge.

Most of the time it actually doesn't. The question should be why do media and fans believe one loss ruins a fighter. Promoters also basically give up on a fighter or assume he has to have several fights against no hopers after a loss, but if they didn't we'd be getting way more good fights, and more apparently surprising comeback wins.
