Alvarez was steady favorite to win all of his fights except the the one against Mayweather, what are you talking about? Maybe not by knockout, but that is because his punching power isn't all that. Nobody said that he would duck the smaller shopworn Cotto... But there were some clowns on this board who said Golovkin would duck Jacobs. Golovkin refused to move up because he wanted to get the biggest fight of his career against Alvarez, way bigger than the fight against Ward could have been. Ward is not a draw, Alvarez is, but keep bashing GGG for that.

Canelo good fighter though he is, is without doubt one of the luckiest fighter's in history in terms of scorecards, he was shutout by Floyd yet somehow got a draw on one cards! And he landed one uppercut and ten at the most clean body shots on Lara yet still walked away with a win AND even a 117-111 scorecard! Just unbelievable.

I agree with this but you can do this sort of thing to a lot of p4p top 10 guys, ggg last few fights:
Jacobs - arguable lost a close decision
    Brook - a welterweight
wade - never fought for a title and best win was against a 44-12 guy
Lemeiux - fair enough, a good win.
    Munroe - a decent win
murray - not world level and has lost 2 other world title shots to older openents
Rubio - even Chavez jr beat him by UD
geale - a lot lesser fighters have also beaten him (quinlan KO'd him, Cotto got rid of him)
Stevens - Lemeuix got rid of him more convincingly, knockded out by a 19-15 journeymen already
Macklin - not a world level fighter with several loses on his record already

Pretty much everyone's resume can be picked apart truth is there are a few NAMES on Canelos record which'll always be easy to serve to fans.

Very few current fighters have a proper resume; off the top of my head I can only think of Andre Ward, Manny Pacquaio and these are fighters on their way out.

It was definitely not a shutout. We hear this all the time, but it is not accurate. This was highly competitive and extremely close. I am going through it round by round. Far from a shutout. Saying that is an insult to both fighters. You also should know that's not the case as Floyd himself has not made that argument. In fact Floyd corrected a reporter that stated that he schooled Canelo. It's simply fantasy to believe that.

No at Middleweight and when I say Middleweight I mean 160 not 155. Would you pick Canelo to beat Jacobs or Lemeiux?

Look, I HATE Floyd Mayweather but if you think that was in anyway a competitive fight you need to go to Specsavers fast. I personally had it a shutout but could perhaps see at a push maybe THREE rounds to realistically give to Canelo. Saying that was a competitive fight is what's an insult to boxing.

It's like the Lara fight, Canelo's die hard fans always rave on about his "beautiful bodywork" but if you look close enough it's clear as day to see that at least 90% of those body shots landed on Lara's forearms and elbows.

Bang on,I thought he won both actually but you're right those two fights had no weight gains,no age thing and Canelo was taken close in both.
I'll give Canelo big props either way but I do feel he's more confident after seeing Jacobs fight cause before it was embarrassing how terrified he was so much so that 160 wasn't happening
