The low regard for Deontay is insane

Wilder is an entretaining fighter with a fun to watch style that unfortunately fights the weakest of the weak. He is by a mile the worst belt holder out of the current titlists p4p, and his "reign" resembles a sanitation effort more than a hw title run. Absolutely the worst opposition faced of any current champion, he is a testament to products being hammered down the line by unscrupulous promoters that prey on the gulible. He even has a statue dedicated to him - the absurdity of this fact is beyond my comprehension.

 

Going to Moscow, Russia to fight Povetkin the Mutilple Gold Medalist for Russia for the HW Championship of the world is not a big enough fight for the easily programmed.

These easily programmed people should just stick their simpleton heads deep in the hot Saudi Arabian desert sand.

 

Actually I'm not even a big fan of Tyson per se, but Tyson was a much vaunted name for
a reason, he dared to be great and he wrecked people. He dodged nothing. The thing about Wilder is, he could've
been much bigger, but for some reason his "team" chose to put him on a route
of mediocrity. As you said he came out with a medal, the last medal of all US boxing
Olympians, that's a story in and of itself. Instead of capitalizing on that they fed
him chum. All of the criticism Wilder gets is his own doing. I don't blame him
for the Povetkin fight falling apart, but my God in 9 years as a pro, he has only
fought one top 10 HW. That's not commendable, it's sad.

Wilder is a fun guy to watch but he should do better. He really needs to

Northpaw said it well. Additionally, Tyson was the youngest ever heavyweight champion and he looked sensational in the ring, too. Deontay on the other hand was getting outpointed by Gerald Washington, just to put things into perspective.

 

He was fighting povetkin because he had too, he was his mandatory and would have been stripped, ducked him twice and paid him step aside money, and he was going to Russia because it was more money to fight in Russia than the states because he can't sell out in his home town. Case now closed.
