The Schaefers have bought the rights to use Ali's name in marketing, and it's better for the cruisers to get it than the super middles!

If Kudryashov wins he would be a very interesting addition. He'd be unseeded and therefore a very dangerous threat to Briedis, Gassiev, and the other big guns in the first round.

Aren't they both for the Muhammed Ali Trophy? Just 1 is the 168 version and the other the 200lbs version lol?

IMO Gassiev stops Briedis, just a feeling I have. I think Briedis might even be winning the boxing battle but I think he might switch off at some point and get his clock cleaned.

I was less skeptical than most that this would attract big names so its no surprise to me, but Diablo won't make it out of the QF stage

This works best if all the champions are involved and we don't have any pull outs but I'm not sure that will happen...

I sure hope so but what about American diva's being allowed to fight at home and permitted to foul at their leisure while picking the ref and judges?

Watch that TMT CW clown get A side treqtment if he enters. At least with CW there are no Americans who can compete at that level even with all the advantages so it could work well, i will concede.

This is absolutely spectacular news. I think a lot of us have been longing for a Super 6 tournament.
It would be brilliant to see Usyk, Glowacki and the winner of Durodola/Kudryashov sign up, too.

I really hope this is a start of a new trend.

I expect Glowacki will sign up, he's strongly rumoured to be on the list.

This is incredible. Respect to all involved for making this happen. Cruiser is arguably the most competitive division top-to-bottom, so seeing all these guys go up against each other is as good as it gets.

Even if the other five are nobodies, this core trio makes it a legit tourney.

And I'm pretty sure the other 5 will be quality fighters too!

If Uysk don't sign up but add Lebedev and some more top fighters I hope everyone still calls the Tournament winner the champ of 200lbs,

Wlod is shot at this point though... Would have rather someone else, but yeah Gassiev and Briedis are great choices.

Winner of the tourney takes #1 at cruiser, but would need to beat Usyk to put it beyond dispute IMO.

Wlod is too old, he can't win this. But I think he still has enough left to have a chance at winning one fight if he gets a weaker opponent.

If Usyk isn't in it can't really be the best fighting the best
