Good thread. Cba doing every division. 147 - Brook 154 - Lara 160 - GGG (BJS close second though) 168 - Groves 175 - Ward (maybe Kovalev with his power, toss up) 200 - Usyk 200+ - Wlad (Fury backslaps his jab too much, not enough power IMO for it to be the best).
Doesn't matter. He won the war of the jab against Wlad. He has the better jab...nobody can outjab Fury. Yes it's mostly down to his size...but we don't deal with hypotheticals like "If he was this big then it would be rubbish" Plenty of big heavys who don't use their jab well. Wilder perfect example. Wlad's jab was perfect for fighting smaller >6'4" flat footed heavyweights who came forward at him all night.
Like I said it was close deciding between them. I just prefer power. Fury uses his jab very well as a range finder. Tbf he did mess Chisora's face with the jab but he really does backslap it. I'm a big Fury fan FYI.
rigo Loma TC Spence ggg kovalev Aj unless wlad fights on. of course I missed some divisions but these are the jabbers who have no rivals. they are so far superior jabbers (really superior in everything) that there's no legit argument to be made
Nice list. 147 you can almost argue Spence. He was jabbing the hell out of of brook. For 160 GGG no doubt but I actually think Jermall Charlo may have the second best jab. That **** is lethal
Vlad has a really great jab. Kovalev out jabbed SOB, totally superior Usyk good jab Golovkin, great jab, really power jab whenever he wants Lomachenko. Actually, too many weight divisions to list, how many are there? Perhaps 1,000,000,000?!
At 175 the king of all jabs belongs to Gvozdyk, can't argue with the rest everybody else has pointed out.
Fury has the best jab at HW. It's weak, but it's very quick, rangy and he uses it constantly. And he manages to land with it at a consistent rate most of the time. Wlad's jab when he's younger is probably one of the best ever but right now his jab is not even a good one IMO by any standards, he just uses it to find range, not even looking to land, neither does he put anything into it. Russell Jr has an underrated jab IMO, very fast and quite powerful. He makes it look like he's got longer reach than he does because of it.
For the best jabs overall though I'd have something like this: Garcia, Kovalev, Ward, Golovkin, Canelo.
