That isn't in dispute. The verbiage was to the effect that Smith ended Hopkins career. The fight was billed as Hopkins retirement fight, final fight, etc. He was hanging the gloves up anyway.

 

smith took away most doubt then. these guys have about as many final fights as rock bands have farewell tours.

 

Props to Smith. He handled his business, and was not in awe, and he ended up making one of the highlights of the year by posterizing Hopkins. Anybody who saw Hopkins working the mits with Jackson in the back before the fight could tell he was done though.

 

He actually has two 2nd round KO's.

He is quickly moving up the ranks in Glass Jaw 2017 polls. The Chin Times has him listed Polish Glass, I tend to agree. Good evidence has been pointed out about that neck. Look at that neck. That is a neck asking for a savage KO.

 

This goes to show you how weak Cleverly is. Fonfara and Cleverly broke a record for most punches thrown and landed in a fight and Fonfara looked untouched after the fight. This division is all over the place with punching power.

 

IB coined him as the GIRAFFE NECK several yrs ago when he wasn't even a contender due to his LOOOOONNNG SKINNNNNYYYYY neck.

I mean...FFS.....the corpse of Gabe Campillo, a featherfist FFS had him weak kneed at times.

Also, Glen Johnson, who couldnt hurt an injured Bute had Fonfara on his best behavior defensively, and even buzzed him a few times.

Fonfara is the epitome of a GLASS JAWED FIGHTER.

Hell, at least Wilder has a regular neck.
