Do you think Kudryashow benefited from an early stoppage?

Durodola took massive shots, and it was his chin that made it become pretty dangerous.
Stoppage was right in my opinion. Nothing British about it.

Had that been the first instance of Durodola getting hurt in the fight then I'd have agreed with you.

But the fact was that Dura had already twice been dropped hard just a short while before and had barely got to his feet each time, at which point the ref could have easily waved it off. He actually gave Dura every chance to get back into the fight, and in situations like that the slightest chance that the fighter is going to go down again is fair grounds for stepping in before it gets to that point.

Was actually a perfectly judged stoppage and an impressive display of refereeing. We should applaud stuff like that.

 

Kudryashovs a bum, I'm surprised she even has the gumption to post here. I've never even boxed and id knock that little bi*** out.

 

Stoppage was fine IMHO.

Although I felt that Durodola still had a chance of winning the fight, the chance of him getting seriously hurt in trying to do so was too high. He'd already been smashed by several massive shots, down twice, etc.

 

Those are the fights that turn guys in to vegetables if you let them go too long. Kudryashov hits very hard when we see him on the internet; what kind of impression do you think those shots leave on a ref standing 5 feet from him?

I thought the ref walked the tightrope of giving Duradola chances to come back and protecting him perfectly.

 

I think it could have easily been stopped after the 1st KD.... You're a sadist if you think the fight should have gone on. Duradola benefited from the stoppage if anything....

 

I watched the whole fight. Durodola was taking massive punishment and could not fight back. It could have easily been stopped after the second KD, when he could not even follow the referee's instructions. All was clear by then and there's no need to risk a brave athlete's long term health for nothing. Good decision! I don't have a problem with the stoppage. Durodola had nothing left and was given every chance to stay in it. Ref sucked though, after the first KD he allowed Kudryashovs to get off several punches after the bell. Then like a make up call in other sports gave Durodola more time to recover after the 2nd KD.

 

That is always a possibility. But it is what it is.

 

People watching boxing for a long time will recognise this match up between a murderous puncher and a trial horse with a great beard had the distinctive potential to induce long term damage.

It would have been better if Durodola had an average chin, because after the third, he kept getting hit flush with monstruous punches but was getting up each time and his defense became more porous by the seconds.

Sure, there would have been a chance of Kudryashow hurting a hand or running out of gaz after a few more rds, but by then, Durodola's brains would have been turned to mushed potatoes.

I think Durodola's career will be severely impacted by this fight.
