How much different would the May-Pac fight be if it were 2009 opposed to 2015?

Big difference Floyd would still of had a chance to win a UD but Pac intensity would of been too much we saw glimpses of prime Pac in round 4 and 6 in the 2015 fight.

Floyd always knew Pac's style would decline faster then his Pac relied on athleticism and intensity which was his best trait that ages very quick he waited out until he saw signs of decline he himself said after the second Bradley fight in his own words "Pac is not the same fighter the power is not there and he is getting tired he never use to" Pac also got knocked out completely cold late on in his career.

Floyd on the other hand never relied on intensity or aggressiveness his best trait was his defence and that can stay with you long.

Pac in 2009 had much more power and had much more stamina and had the killer instinct he was a completely different animal, Its a real shame that fight never happened when it mattered the most in the end we got both fighters cashing out.

A 2009 Pac would of been too much for Mayweather and would of stopped him.

I am a Filipino and I am a hardcore boxing junkie I first have to mention. In 2008 after Floyd "returned", i told all of my friends who are Pinoy as well, that it is better that Manny never fight Floyd. I always believed that Floyd would easily outpoint Pac, the margin of victory would only be more significant as Pac got older.

Very, very different. Pac, given his style and number of wars, was aged and NOT prime when Captain iv faced him. Everybody's primes are different. 2009 Pacquiao was a different animal and would have stopped Floyd. And little Floyd knew this ;)

It would definitely have been better yeah. I still think Floyd would have edged it but would have been closer and far more entertaining if it happened when both were closer to their primes.

You mean against the Pac that had no fear jumping into right hands?

Would definitely have been a better fight, but I doubt the outcome changes.

The Pac who beat DLH/Hatton/Cotto is a world apart from the Pac that Mayweather defeated, however I don't think the result changes.

I think overall it would be "cleaner" not that what we saw was scrappy, but the result would be the same

    May lowers his mans output
Manny cant cut off a ring
    May cruises to a decision

    Floyd stops him.

Pac had even less skill than he did in 2015. He was still developing his now relevant jab and didn't have a great right hand, although it was still something his opponents were getting concerned with.

Floyd had his warm-up fight with Marquez and was brilliant defensively and had his speed on display.

It goes even worse for Pacman if he doesn't stop Floyd in the first 2 rounds. Pacquiao just didn't have enough weapons or skills to keep Mayweather from taking away his straight left hand and going to town on his noggin' once he's been neutered.

Uh, Mayweather from the Marquez fight tools him, easily.

That Mayweather was so defensively sound, so fast

More competitive definitely but maybe May would've still won. Still, it probably would've been one hell of a fight that warranted a rematch.

Pacquiao would have KO'd him. Floyd didn't want none of a prime Pac.

Unfortunately people refuse to see floyd was far from prime himself in the fight v pac.

Yes his style ages better but he was still past his best
