Post-fight: Broner vows to take boxing seriously, he'll be back, he's an animal the can man and will be better than ever. July 30th: Broner fanboys tell us how talented Broner is, that he's young and will still go onto be an all time hreat July 31st: Broner is arrested for attacking a prossy and stealing money from her after she refused to give him a refund because he came too quick. August 1st: Mayweather tweets out support for Broner. Fanboys repeat it like parrots. They tell us what a bright future Broner has and how GGG is a horrible human being who is avoding Erislandy Lara and Eroll Spence.
i think mikey picked up the 1-2 attack from floyd, specifically from floyd. they throw it at the exact same cadence and in identical situations. its like 2 parts of a single punch, let the jab freeze em for the straight right to reach em. broner is going to have to learn to throw a world class hook behind mikeys guard, its the only punch i think can reach him consistently enough to hurt him. otherwise, he gets 1-2ed into a beating.
I think the issue for Mikey will be Broners sharpness. Mikey sits back on his boxing and waits around alot, not that great since exposing Broner's low workrate is what gave Porter, Maidana and Paulie all success. Both are tough and will endure 12 rounds Broner will be forced to be in great shape to make 140. I think he's naturally the bigger man...will be rehydrating to 155-157 whilst Mikey will be a couple pounds off that. It's easy to jump against Broner in favour for Mikey BUT I don't think Mikey has shown an ability to switch it up when required...What happens if Broner is merely winning rounds off quick combinations which can't be countered? I don't see Mikey walking him down to much success. Really what we see time and time again with Broner's two weaknesses: Flat footed and low workrrate I don't think Mikey's style is that great for exploiting them weaknesses. Great fight. A win for Mikey here does great things for him. A win for Broner leaves him pawing at the left overs at 147 still...
