Where would Crawford rank among great 140 pounders

If he beats Indongo, above everyone apart from Pryor and Tszyu. Take into consideration I didn't include the guys who stopped by to pick up a title before moving up to Welterweight straight after like ODH and PBF.

Isn't it a weak division in that regard? Most jump up to 147 before accomlishing anything.
For years now, majority of the best at 147 have come from 140.

 

You mean compared to Pryor, Canzoneri, Ross, Chavez, Cervantes, De La Hoya, Whitaker, Benitez, Pacquiao, and Mayweather? He'd be the best.

 

No chance has he proven he's at that level yet. Chavez snr u have him above ? Meldric Taylor ?

 

Greater than Muhammad Ali and right behind SRR.

 

I'm a big Crawford fan, but I hope you're trolling. Way too early to make these comparisons, imo.

May, Pac , De La Hoya and Sweet Pea did not spend enough time as a JWW to warrant being top ten in my opinion. Had they stayed there for a while then yes they would defiantly be there. You could rearrange my list and it would still be a reasonable list. Hatton scrapes in due to the majority of his work was there but he could be dropped for a few honourable mentions. Feel free to pick it apart

 

He won't be there long enough to be rated as a atg in that division.

Napoles & Duran had a few "JWelterweight" fights too. Both would have been great champs if they had stayed there for awhile.

 

Indongo won't change his position. He would need to stay longer to establish a strong enough legacy to be immortalized at 140.
