I think he will be tempted by his success against Joshua, the fight is very winnable for him.

I also think that AJ is probably hoping Wlad doesn't want it as he knows that Wlad can put it on him.

Although AJ won the fight, it was that type of fight where it left question's and kept you intrigued.

I hope it does happen again, and may the best man win.

It doesn't say that. It says the IBF will allow a rematch to take place without stripping Joshua.

Later in the article, is says Wlad will talk to his manager later this week about it. In the above post, Wlad says he'll make an announcement later.

So it's not ON.

The decision on whether it is or not is up to Wlad. And he hasn't said anything. He won't for another week or so.

Eddie Hearn can make all the arrangements he likes. He can get all the approvals. That's fine. But the decision is Wlad's to make.

If he doesn't want a rematch, then there won't be one.

 

I hope he does retire. I think his team wants the fight more then he does.

Its a big pay day but frankly he's got a family and a **** load of money in the bank.

A smart guy I know once told me you spend the first 40 years of your life working your but off to make a place in this world for your family and the last 40 years of your life trying to work as little as possible so that you can enjoy time with your family. Dudes in his 40s. Time to relax and enjoy life!

Retirement match with Vitali is the only fight he should still have.

 

Very, very winnable.

 

At the age of 41 and a one and a half year layoff... he did better than Wilder, Miller or Any of the young contenders would have imo. I still say he wins the rematch but if he retires.. he will end it as one of the best heavyweights to ever fight.
